Did I make the right choice?

I called today to make ressies for late May (Thurs.-Sun). Previously I've stayed at OKW, SSR and BWV. I'm waitlisted for BWV. I thought BWV would be nice just to hang at BW at night, but it really doesn't matter where I stay. I ended up with res. @ VWL in a studio. Never stayed in the Villas before, have stayed at WL. After I hung up, I thought about AKV. Now I'm
2nd guessing where I should stay. Any opinions? If you could choose AKV or VWL which would you choose and why? Since it's late May, would it be "too hot" at either?
It's only me and a friend going, so a studio would be fine.

Thanks!

Well good luck. I 2nd 3rd and 4th guess my accomodations every time and we have only taken 2 DVC trips. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I 2nd guessed my up and coming trip this July. Now if it were me.....I would pick VWL over AKV just because I want to stay at VWL more than AKV. I think WL is pretty but having said that....I have not been to AKV. We are touring it this summer. I know there is construction going on there so I would not want to be there during that. I will eventually stay there one day probaby but after it is all finished. Are you going Sun through Thursday or Thursday through Sunday using those high point weekend points???

Ed,

I'm going Thurs.-Sun using high point weekends. I banked some points last year that have to be used this year and I don't know if I'll get a big trip in before the uy is up. May only get another long weekend in for F&W, so I don't mind using the points so I don't lose them.

You can't go wrong with either one, really. I love both and rotate staying between them and BWV, too. If you love animals, I'd probably try AKV if you've been to VWL already in the past.

I'm more of a WLV fan in the Springtime. I don't know what it is. The colors of the flowers just seem better there this time of year. And there are always some wild baby bunnies running about.

AKV is more of an Autumn thing for me. The colors are more primary hues. The savanna also always seems a bit sparse like I'd expect at the end of the growing season.

You could split the difference and do what I do: plan an Animal Kingdom followed by dinner at Boma's and tour of the lodge. On another day, usually a busy Saturday when I wanna avoid the parks, hang at VWL. Have lunch at Whispering Canyon. Enjoy the pools, watch the geyser. Maybe take a ferry over to Fort Wilderness and pet the animals.

You'll go from African Safari to Western Mountaineer.

Funny you say that about the "bunnies". My wife and I just got back from SSR and we saw so many rabbits on our walks we kept saying WOW look at the wild life just like AKV but they let these animals run wild:rotfl2:

Ok ok guess :sad2: you had to be there, we thought it was funny.....it just reminded me of our WONDERFUL trip I guess:rolleyes1
