Did I make an ADR boo-boo?

I'm looking over my Oct ADR's and I'm pretty happy with what I got. We wanted to stick to buffets for the benefit of our 2.5 year old (aka-free) and I got early-ish times becuase I think that will be easier with my toddler.

My DS teaches me something everyday. I'm starting to notice that he eats dinner better around 6 to 6:30 instead of 5 to 5:30. My ADR's are for early times... 5:30, 5:15, 4:55, 4:45, 4:30 because I know that getting there on time or even early doesn't mean you will be seated right away - sometimes you wait another 10-20 minutes depending on the venue. Now I'm starting to wonder if I should have gone with more 5:30 to 6 ADR's figuring the possible 20 min table wait should put us at 6 to 6:30 eating time.

Of course I figured this out 50 days away from my trip :thumbsup2 , duh.

Should I call and see what's available a smidge later than my current ADR's? I guess it couldn't hurt and if I wait any longer then I *know* nothing will be available.

What was I thinking? If we do afternoon naps and take the bus to our dinner location I need to allow time for that.

Being pregnant has made me stupid.

:cool1: :hippie: When we are doing the parks all day we get real hungry from all of the walking, you may be better off with the earlier times. When our 2 were younger we had to just stop when our DD was hungry and hit the closest counter service place (as long as there were chicken fingers or nuggets there).

When my kids were younger the excitement of vacation made them hungry earlier than I would have thought. I wouldn't change your times, but maybe have crackers or something little with you if he gets hungry again a bit later....

I just called to see what was available and I think I made some good changes, nothing drastic.

I had a 5:20 ADR at O'Hana on the night we arrive but we arrive at 2:20 and we would have to rush to make that ADR (esp if we use the bus) but I was able to get a 6:50 instead. Now we have time to swim/nap before dinner and make it there early. We're heading straight home afterwards anyway.

I moved my 5:15 at Boma to 5:45 - just to give me more buffer time, still a pretty early ADR, and AK is open late that night, so maybe we can peruse that afterwards.

Lastly, I moved my 4:55 at Garden Grill to 6:00. Again, travel time would mean hitting the bus stop at 3:30 or so to make sure we get there in time, now I have a nice buffer.

I would like to enter the parks early and stay 4 hours-ish then back for a nap/swim/shower before going back out. We usually rent a car and that makes getting to dinner easier, but I don't think we're going to do that this time and I forgot about bus-to-destination time.

We can always arrive early to our ADR's and see what we get, but this way we can accidentally be not-so-early and still make the ADR!
