Did I make a mistake?

Im heading to WDW for the Tron preview next week (Wed, early afternoon). As it’s last minute and a solo trip I want to keep costs under control. I had the Swan for Monday night which gives me late access to Epcot but I couldn’t get Swolphin for Wed night access to MK, which is my favorite ! I’ve changed to stay offsite, saving a ton of money, and bought MK DAH for Monday night. I figured I might as well try the DAH as it is a new experience. Did I make a mistake? What is a good park to go to before MK on Monday?

Totally depends. What parks do you want to visit while you're there? Really depends on what you want to do, how long you're there and park preference. You can definitely get a lot done at MK during the after hours but if it's me, I'd arrive at MK midday and just stay with maybe a dinner break and then return for the event. Gives you a chance to sleep in since it'll be a late night and then enjoy yourself. If you feel like that's too much MK time, pick another park and go from there.

You can get the Swolphin for Sunday night and that will allow you to go to MK DAH on your check-out date.

I think you are confusing DAH (Disney After Hours) with EETPH (Extended Evening Theme Park Hours). You do not need to be staying at the Swolphin or anywhere onsite to go to DAH. You just need to buy a ticket. And staying onsite, even deluxe onsite, does not let you in to DAH for free. Staying onsite at a deluxe resort, including the Swolphin, lets you into EETPH for free. But that is not what OP has chosen to do. Staying in the Swolphin on Sunday night and/or Monday night would have allowed OP to go to EETPH at Epcot on Monday night, but she chose to go to DAH at MK instead. DAH and EETPH are different events.

I think the Monday check out would qualify me for the EEH at Epcot. No different than my Monday night ressie I had. I’d still have to pay for the DAH at MK. It’s extra time at MK that I really want so I might as well save on the hotel and put it toward DAH at MK. That was my thought process.

Looks like I was composing my post at the same time as Tom_E_D. He and I seem to have the same understanding of the night events.

Yeah, sorry I wasn't following. I missed that you already bought the DAH. Since you already bought the DAH, it doesn't matter if you'd made a mistake. You're stuck with it now. I went to the MK for EETPH in September and it was absolutely amazing. I rode Space Mountain alone. No one in my train, no one in the train in front of me, no one in the train behind me, no one in line.
