Did I just mess up my magic bands?

I have my split stay for F&W 2017 booked, and I seemed happy with what I had decided on. We have 3 nights booked in a Poly studio with 2 adults and 2 almost adult children (15 & 17). I've been dying to stay at VGF, although none of the rest of my family seems very excited by that prospect. So, me being the constant tweaker of plans that I am, I was playing with the RAT and found a studio at VGF for one night and decided, what the heck?! So I booked it. Here's the dilemma...I was planning on keeping the room at Poly for all 3 nights and just also having the room at VGF for the one night...how will that work with my magic bands? No one besides those in my traveling party will be in the room at any time, and I will probably be the only one to stay there, although possibly my daughter will stay with me. I will still have all of us listed for the length of stay at Poly, and I would like to have access to both without a lot of hassle. Did I just make that an impossible goal? I am okay to cancel VGF and save it for another trip if it's going to end up being more of a pain than an enjoyment. Please help with any wisdom you can bestow.

As far as I understand, the same MDE person(profile) can only be assigned to 1 room reservation at a time.

I imagine it would be you leaving Poly and checking into VGF, but the rest of your family would still be in the Poly. Your band would then work in VGF but not Poly.
To get others access to VGF, you would have to create alternate MDE profiles (i.e. Middle name only?) and that alternate profile would result in an an extra magic band to access the VGF room and pool.

And FYI, Disney requires an adult aged 18+ in each ocupied room, so you couldn't leave the kids in a room by themselves.

I guess that's a long-winded way of saying that I don't see enough benefit of that arrangement.
If it were BCV so you had a night walking to Epcot, and/or use SAB... possibly?

I guess the other benefit of the 2nd room is the option to order a 1-day DDP for as many people that you want.

You could always use a variation of your name to create a new person in MDE for the VGF reservation. This way you will still be able to access both rooms.

This is what I'd do. Then I'd use my Poly MB for everything EXCEPT getting into the VGF room. (So no ticket assigned to the alter-ego staying at the VGF & I would probably not charge anything to the VGF room, either. Room-only).

It would be not worth it for me. I would save VGF for another time, longer stay.

Ooh I'd keep it, show it to family then kick them out. I fell in looooove with VGF in December.
