Just booked our trip for December 2011...I have always before used Dreams Unlimited as our travel agent and, of course, I use my Disney Visa. However this time I have gone nuts, I think....I decided to book on my own through the website and for SOME REASON I used a different card. Soooo, when the (fingers crossed) discount comes out first for Disney Visa card holders I won't get to take advantage of it will I?? :sad2:

Should I call and cancel the trip and re-book with my Disney Rewards Visa in case a discount comes out?:confused3

If a disney visa promo comes out between now and Dec., you will have plenty of time to rebook with the Disney visa.

so i SHOULD cancel and re-book...do i need to explain over the phone when i call? always before we just had the dreams unlimited travel agent add the promo or code to our existing reservation...BUT sometimes they were a little slow in responding (please don't think I 'm bashing we LOVE LOVE LOVE Beth at DU) and a couple trips I got a few gray hairs wating for an answer...hence going it alone this time. Plus, now that u can do dining reservation online I don't really feel the need to have an agent sit on the phone for me and make all my ressies...

Well ,you could rebook with a Disney visa if it makes you relax a bit.... It will really only take a few minutes of your time, and if it makes you feel more peaceful, then do it. Historically there have been discounts in the second and third week of December. Check Mousesavers... she has a list of historical discounts, and that includes the ones with the Disney Visa.

I'd rebook it... look at all the Disney rewards you're missing out on. Unless of course you can get greater rewards with another card.

If and when a Disney Visa Discount comes out, you would likely have cancel any previous reservations and rebook using the discount code. Because there are only a certain number of rooms available at each hotel with the discount, you (often) can not just apply the code to your current reservation. You are also planning for December 2011 - more then a year from now. A lot can happen/change between now and then. Don't spend too much time stressing out about this

Why not just call up and ask to switch which card is tied to the trip?

I called and did just that- I really thought I would have to cancel and completely rebook...they said I could just swap cards and have the downpayment refunded to other card. Easy Peasy lemon squeezy...:goodvibes
