Did i just get hit on by a CM at Magic Kingdom? - Aug 09 TR! UPDATED 2/10

First off, i hope you enjoy reading about my wonderful trip..i am still so sad that it is over and hopefully this will help cheer me up!

I bet your wondering about the title of this thread. Yes, it did happen and you will just have to wait to find out the details! Okay here i go...

WHO:

Me: Brittney

Im Brittney, I am in my second year of college at Stony Brook University & i am obsessed with Disney! My birthday is in september and i am 19. I am a huge planner and love to plan anything that i can & my dream would be to be some sort of event planner specifically weddings =] But as of now i am majoring in psychology and going to school to become a guidance counselor.

My Boyfriend: Keith

This is Keith. We have been dating for over 3 years now & i don't know what i would do without him! He is way into sports and very good at all of them. His favorite is baseball and he is a very good pitcher! We know that we are going to get married one day..at Disney!

WHEN: Sunday, August 9 - Sunday, August 16th 2009

WHERE: All-Star Sports Resort

WHY: I have been wanting to go with Keith to disney for a while and was planning on going in jan 2010 for 5 nights. But when the buy 4 get 3 free deal came out i was tempted to move up the trip. I did and we ended up saving money! I picked this week because it was the first week of the value season and closest to our 3 year anniversary which was july 25th. So we are celebrating our anniversary!

Day 1

Keith slept over my house the night before we were leaving, because his parents were already on vacation (more about that later). So we woke up around 8am. I had showered the night before so all i had to do was get ready and pack the last couple of things. My mom wanted to get Mcdonalds for breakfast so me, her and keith left my house around 9:15. I dropped keith at home so he could do some last minute things there and then i went to the bank to get money for the trip! Then i stopped at bath&body works which is in the same shopping center to get my spf 45 chapstick (its the highest spf i have found in a chapstick and i tend to get cold sores which the sun trigger so i needed to have it before we left!) then we went right over to mcdonalds and got breakfast.

After we ate, i brought up my 2 suitcases (1 carry-on & 1 to check) and then keiths suitcase. My parents and my sister(14) were taking us to the airport. We loaded up the car and drove over to Keith's house to pick him up. This is when i insisted on taking the first pics of the trip.

So we left Keith's house around 11:15 and were headed for LaGuardia Airport (LGA). In the car i finally started to get excited and it started to sink in that i was going to WDW! up until this point i had been really stressed because i kept thinking i was going to forget things. I started to sing to every song i knew that came on the radio and i had everyone laughing (prob because i have a horrible singing voice!). Once we got close to the airport i started getting excited when i saw planes taking off. We got to LGA around 12:30. Once we checked our bags and stuff we said goodbye to my parents & sister and got on the security line.

Once we got through security we had plenty of time. Our flight was not until 2:26. we found a seat by our gate waited. On the way in Keith bought a sports illustrated magazine and i took a pic of him reading..

Here's the only pic i have of us at the airport...

About half an hour before our departure time we started to board the plane. We sat in row 18 seats D & E. I forgot to mention we were flying Delta. I had the window seat and took some pics before we took off..

Our flight was uneventful. I looked out the window most of the time and when snacks came around i bought peanut m&ms for $2.

It's so weird for you to be talking about the Kohl's shopping center with B&B works and McDonalds and I know where you're talking about and actually was just at Kohl's yesterday buying my little cousin a gift LOL Cant wait to read more!

Thanks! lol yeah i figured you would know what i was talking about..i used to hate kohls but now i love it cuz its so cheap & i love saving money haha

Day 1 continued..

So when i left off we were on the plane heading to orlando. We landed around 5:00pm which was early and waited to get off the plane. We took the shuttle over to the main terminal and i told keith i had to walk thru the disney store to get me prepared lol so after we did that we headed to the ground floor. I was glad that we didnt have to go to baggage claim because we took advantage of the luggage transport, but i was a little a worried that our bags would be lost or something. I brought a carry-on with all the important stuff in case that happened though.

So we got down and followed the signs to the DME check in and there was like no one there. we walked right up to the lady who looked at my DME booklet and then walked thru the quene to a man who told us to go to line 7. we were the only ones in the line for the all-stars at first and then 2 girls came up behind us.

here's the sign we waited by for like 5 minutes..

& here's the view of our bus while we were waiting to be boarded..

So we waited no longer than like 5 minutes and we were let outside to board DME! I was very excited at this point and it finally felt real to me. Keith & I got on the bus and sat somewhere in the middle but more towards the front. There were a decent amount of people already on the bus, i wonder how long they were waiting there? because once we sat down i felt like i was waiting forever for us to leave, even though im pretty sure it was only 10 minutes. I decided to take a picture while we were waiting and it turned out to be my favorite picture of the trip! idk if its how the light is hitting us or because its the right angle but everyone says this is their fav. pic too...

So our driver was very nice and very funny he kept saying "awesome" & "dude" after everything he said. The ride didnt seem as long as the driver said it would be (45mins) and before i knew it were were entering "the world" lol here is my lame attempt at getting the welcome sign at the entrance..its pretty horrible...

So we stopped at Coronado Springs first to let all those people off and before i knew it were headed towards the all-stars! we pulled into ASSp and i was like ahh were here! So we got off the bus and got my carry-on and then were the first ones inside.

I had done the on-line check in and no one was even waiting to be checked in at that line so we went straight to the counter. At this point i was praying that we got the room i requested. I asked for a king sized bed because having 2 beds seemed pointless to me and i wanted to be in the touchdown building because it was close to the food court and everything. But you'll have to wait until next time to see what happened!
