.I thought AP s were good until the end of the month you bought them, the following year . For example I activated our passes today and was anticipating using them through the end of november 2011 , but they say they exp nov 1 . I thought I would be able to get two november trips put of them, but I heiress I was wrong. I am kind of sad.

I thought they expired from the day you first used them the following year.
As in we activated ours Jan 14, 2010, so I think it expires at the end of the day Jan 14, 2011. I could be wrong but thought that's how they worked.

They are only good for one calender year. TIW is good til the end of the 12th month.

AP's are good for 365 days from time of purchase or activation (if you pre-purchase a voucher). The only exception is renewals, which always expire and start on your anniversary date.

So lets say I buy APs online today but say I will pick them up at will call when I get there on 11/23. When will they expire?

They will expire one year from the first day you use them. If you get them on 11/23 and first use them on 11/24, they will be valid thru 11/24/2011.

If they are renewals, they will expire one year from the date of the original expiration date.

I was wrong about this as well. If you buy APs online and then print the voucher, you are activating the AP -- even if you don't enter the parks for several days or weeks. That happened to us -- I printed the tickets on 10/19 and even though we only got here yesterday (10/31), they expire 10/19/11.

A new AP would expire on 11/23/2011. They expire one year from date issued regardless of if you you them that day or not.

When you trade in the voucher you get in the mail or bring in the receipt to pick up at Will Call, the APs will be dated on that date. They expire the next year on the same date. So if it is leap year, you get one extra day.

Tables in Wonderland card usually expire at the end of the month. So you might get 13 months with those cards.

It's one year from when they are activated, the date is printed on the pass at that time. So in that case it would be 11/23/11.

This is rather interesting. I have always had the voucher sent to us. You get a plastic card that says it is a voucher. I guess printing it is activating it? :confused3 News to me.

366 days....if you start on 11/24 it will expire 11/24 next year. If 365 days will expire 11/23 next year

When you exchange the plastic voucher for the actual AP, that's considered activating it. The year begins when a CM issues the actual AP.

They had a deal some months back...if you renewed by the end of September you got 15 months....my pass didn't expire until 9-24, but I renewed it the end of August. It now expires December 24th, 2011.

You have me scratching my head on this one. There's no way for you to print an ACTIVE AP yourself. Is it possible you mean that you renewed your previous AP? I can see how this would be true - if your original AP expired on 10/19/10 and you renewed online then picked it up later, the renewal AP would be good for 1 year from that date, no matter when you got an active AP printed at the parks or what date you purchased the renewal.

Yes, I know, but the PP said that they printed their voucher at home and their anniversary date was when they printed it, not when they used it or exchanged it.

So it would lead me to believe that this was either a glitch, or printing is activating it, which I find odd.

I'm confused, too. I always get the plastic renewal vouchers and have never heard of printing anything online. I would still think that the first day you use it in a park would be the first day of an AP, no matter how you ordered it.

Huh???? I've always purchased our APs on line using the DVC discount and getting vouchers SENT. They send you an orange plastic card that you then turn in at Customer service for the real AP ticket. It is activated when you turn it in, NOT when you order it. There is no way to print it that I know of. We often buy our APs 6-9 months ahead of when we are going to activate them. We've always had them expire the same date the following year.

BTW, that does mean you get 366 days of use from the AP. Since you can use it on that same date a year later, that is the 366th day.

Was this for a new or renewed AP? If New, the CM made a mistake.
