Cause it didn't feel like I called Disney this morning :confused3

I was trying to get through on the Tours booking line since 8am (its now 9:20) and I just got off the phone after talking to a cast member. I asked about the Holiday Tour and what times the holiday tour was at, his answer, "Um, we don't even know when the holiday season starts at Disneyland." :scared1: So I said, "It starts on Nov. 12th, do you know if the tour will be available throughout the holiday season." and he replies "I don't know, I can't see anything on my screen".

Im so dissapointed. I tried to ask about what times it would be available but he just kept saying "I dont know" and the fact that he didn't even know when the Holiday season starts at DLR really confused me.

So, I need your help. Should I call back and try to talk to someone else? Does anyone know what times the holiday tours are held? Specifically on Holiday season opening (Nov.12). And does anyone know how I can find a great cast member (like the one who booked my PS and BBB)?? We're only there for 1 day of Holiday stuff (Nov. 12) and we are trying to make the most of our limited time. Please help, I need some pixie dust!!

I don't know about the tours, but I would try calling back at a different time of day like in the afternoon. It sounds like you gut a dud of a cast member.

I haven't seen any information about the Tours yet for this year, and I have been looking, so it may be that he truly didn't know, lol. But that sounds like just terrible service!!

I agree, with the pp, I would try calling back later in the day. Unfortunately, this happens. Some CMs are very knowledgeable , others seem clueless! At least be thankful he didn't give you wrong info - that seems to happen quite a bit too, as the CM wants to be helpful, but really doesn't know the answer, so makes something up. :lmao:

And please post of you find out any info on the Tours, thanks!

I agree that you may not have gotten one of the better informed CMs. You might want to call back today since you only have the one day to get all your holiday stuff in and you don't want to miss out. Don't be surprised though if you end up having to call back tomorrow or in a couple of days. I know that Disney books tours either one month or 30 days out, but they have seemed behind on most everything lately, plus they seem to just follow their own internal schedule and rules for when they're really ready to do something. For instance, you can book dining reservations 60 days out, but they usually let you do it at 2 months. That would theoretically mean they would start taking Thanksgiving bookings on Sept. 25 or Sept. 26, but they didn't start taking them until Sept. 27, nor did they even have information about Thanksgiving dining options and prices that they would share with the public before that first booking date.

I tried to call about the Holiday Tour and got the same response. She told me that they didn't have a schedule yet and to call back in a week or two.

i'm thinking maybe they don't have any tours loaded yet for Nov 12 or beyond. I called this morning also about the Welcome to DL tour for Nov 12,and was told it wasn't on their schedule. I know they had it off for a while, but I called last week and was told it was available and I could book in for any day the week of Nov 1st. So, I will try back later today, and probably everyday until they convince me it is no longer.

I think after reading your post that they just don't have tours loaded yet for Christmas season. I was able to get Fantasmic priority seating pkg for Nov 12 though! :cool1:

I am so glad I am not the only one who got that response!! I guess I will keep trying everyday until we can get it.

If anyone finds out they are booking please post here!!

I tried to call them as well and kept getting a busy signal, then when I finally got through I was on hold so long I had to give up.

I wonder if they are understaffed compared to previous years?

I was thinking of doing the Welcome tour or maybe the Holiday tour, but there's so very little information on the official site about what each is and the cost that it is hard to really compare.

Yea, when DL changed their website a few months ago, they really took out all useful info for their tours. Here is a link to wdwinfo site that has good info on tours - that is assuming they will be offered Nov 12 and beyond. :confused3

So is it likely that the Holiday Tour is around the same price as the Halloween one?

I had the same issues trying to book my tours a month ago for this month. I just had to keep trying because the computer system would not allow them to make reservations. In the end, I booked everything I wanted. Just keep trying.

I'm not sure how much the Halloween ones are, but last year the Holiday tour was around $64 without any discount.

I was told to call back on the 24th of October. Of course, I am going to DL for Thanksgiving and that is one month before I arrive. pirate:

OMG! I was able to get through to someone right at 8:00 this morning! I was REALLY apprehensive after reading this thread yesterday, as I had to book for a party of 14 people. I asked about 11/12 or 11/13 and was offered the choice of noon or 3pm on Sat 11/13. I'm wondering if perhaps they aren't doing tours on the 12th? I should have asked if that was the case, but I was actually so unprepared to have someone answer right away, that I wasn't exactly thinking straight....sorry!

I don't believe they are doing tours on the 12th. I think I read on another thread, either the November or Christmas one, that tours begin November 13.

Since today, October 13, was seemingly the first day tours could be booked, I am assuming that information to be correct.

Bummer for me, since we depart on the 13th and I was hoping to have a tour on the 12th! :sad1:

That was for the Holiday Tour? How much was it? Did they say any information about what it includes this year ?

I'm still trying to decide between the Welcome and the Holiday, and am worried the Welcome may be too much walking and the Holiday too expensive.

:sad1::sad1::sad1:

I'm so sad. I really hope they do have the holiday tour on the 12th, but if they don't can anyone tell me if this is possible.

We want to do all of this on the 12th:

Haunted Mansion Holiday
Its a small world holiday
Holiday Parade
See Santa
See the Reindeer
Watch Remember, Dreams come true holiday
Get photos of the castle lit up
Get photos of the "snow" falling on main street

We will have had 4 other days in the parks already to do the other stuff, so we really want to focus on the holiday stuff on the 12th. I should also add that my mother has mobility issues and we will be using an ECV and GAC, if those will help us in any way.

:scared: Ugh!! This totally sucks, we were really looking forward to the tour!! I suppose we could blow our money on Fantasmic Dessert Seating tickets instead :cloud9:

Well, my dear husband called again today to talk to someone. The lady once again said they didn't know when the holiday season started but my husband politely said that it started on Nov. 12th so the CM went and double checked the system and sure enough, IT DOES!! So we are now booked for a 3pm tour on November 12th, with a confirmation number and Im crossing my fingers that it will all work out.

So, for those of you trying to book Nov. 12th, don't take NO for an answer!! Ask to speak to a manager and they will find the correct bookings page and get you set up :) I think its possible there are a few new CM's who have never done Holiday Tour bookings before and aren't totally sure what to do.

:banana::banana::banana: So excited!!

I'm so happy you were able to get the Tour booked! What a great hubby you have.
