I'm just wondering if I've already missed the discounted rates for July until mid-August for Annual Passholders or AAA..

I'm looking and I see nothing in Hard Rock below $356..

Portofino gives me $305 for a Garden view every night I check (for 4 adults)...

HRH dropped all discount codes (AAA, APH, MIL) about 2 weeks ago. Interesting observation was when I made my reservation with HRH (in Feb), the only thing RPR had available was the King Suite. Suddenly, when HRH drops their "codes", RPR has all room types available. :confused3

Today, Saturday April 15th, I once again checked both the HRH and RPH for either AAA or APH rates for July. After several weeks of showing no discount, now they show an AAA rate of $183 and an APH rate of $206 for the RPH. Last July I got an APH rate of $159 for the same week. Is this going to be the best rate? Also, when I logged into the passholder site it did not show any APH discount past the end of May. Does anyone know what's going on? Thank you.

I have checked daily and the 206$ rate for RPR has been consistent in june for months. No APH rates have come out past the 1st week of june. Im not sure if they will be discounting in the summer or not this year. Probably depends on whether they are mostly booked or not. I cant explain the changes in july rates though. Maybe a block from a travel service got turned back in?

At the risk of really sounding stupid...
When I went to the AAA site, it directed me to our local AAA site. It had menu options to see what type of benefits you get, and joining, etc.

(Couldn't see the benefits because you had to put part of your card number, but if you don't have a card, or joined yet...hmmph.)

Anyway...there was a 80 something dollar option and someething more. Is there a certain option I should do to get discounts on theme parks, hotels etc?

I have roadside service with my vehicle's company, so I've never even checked into AAA.

Can someone explain the best option for AAA to get discounts? Maybe even getting lucky with US.

Thanks. :thumbsup2

cometsmom, you dont need to book it thru AAA, try the loews site instead and where it say "promotion code" put in AAA, and APH. (right now AAA rate is probably lower) After you decide if the rate is the one you are going with, (AAA or APH) then you can get the AAA card or AP. You wont need it to book, just to check in (maybe) :hippie:

I finally this morning got an AAA rate for my stay June 30-July 2 at RPR (club room). Keep checking for your dates - I was never able to get this rate for only 2 nights before!

Just want you to know that I went ahead and got the AAA card in my husband's name, and I am sure it will help out in this trip, and many others (I felt so in the dark about AAA...you'd think at 42 I'd know 'something' about it!)

I am now booked for July 1-8th at RPH. (We are driving from KY and going to see the pretty beach on the way and NASA on the way back) The rate I have right now is 183.00. Don't have to worry about the sixth person in the trip. It was my teenaged son's BF. His father is dying of cancer and he is afraid to leave him this summer. (which is very understandable)

Can I also cancel reservations at the Lowe's site? I mean, if I find an even better rate can I cancel the previous reservation the same way?

Thanks for everything. I am so excited. :teeth:

Take the AAA card to the parks too, there are many places you can get discounts on food and souvenirs with it.

We got RPR for $183 with our AAA. We booked it on April 23 for one night stay on August 14. What really stinks is only 5 per room and we have 6 so we had to book two rooms.
For just one moment we thought about how small our son is and that maybe we could carry him around in our luggage in order to save 183. :rotfl2:

I completely understand your dilemma with the five/six people in a room. My son was going to take his best friend, but his father is dying of cancer and is afraid to leave him. (Understandable) So, we have five now. Three teens..but my sister said, if a room says sleep five that means, two double beds and a couch to sleep on. Poor son, he gets the couch. lol
