Did/Do you have Brazillian groups at your resort? Which one?

ok, what time of year are these tour groups around? Gosh, I hope they are gone by the time we get there.

July seems to be their most popular month to visit. I did see a few smaller groups when I was in WDW this past December. I think that they were from Argentina. I know the groups in July are from Brazil and Argentina.

July is the big month. I googled some Brazilian websites, and using my lame ability to decipher Portguese, it seems that their large group tours are for July and January. A few advertise that they stay at values--one website said All-Star Movies/Sports/Music or something to that effect, but most of the websites anyway don't seem to clarify a hotel.

We've gone three times in July, and we've never seen them at our resorts (Poly and WL), but I've heard others have found them at the values.

They were there in June, but we didn't really encounter any problems. they just made some lines really long. I didn't see any at our resort-FQ.

Maybe Disney can build a park in Brazil and we can send all our teenagers there for vacation!

I work with a friend from Brazil. She said June and July are the big months because the children are out of school. The trips are sponsored by the schools which is why there are not many parents with them.

We just came back from WDW about a week ago. There were tons of Brazilian tour groups, but we didn't see any obnoxious behavior. A couple of groups were loud, but no different than any other large group of teenaqers.

I've been to Grad Night several times and it's NEVER been as loud and obnoxious as they were last July!!!

Atleast they weren't staying at the BC!!!

We just returned from Port Canaveral from a RC cruise with hundreds of Argentinans. They already had some Disney stuff so I assumed that they would be heading home rather than back to Disney this week. We ran into the few groups of 5 girls or so who were rather rude, cutting lines and pushing their way through the halls, but for the most part they weren't as bad as I have witnessed before. When we went to port, they were nowhere to be seen but on the boat was another story.

We have encountered tons of them at the parks during our summer trips, but we have never seen them at the hotels. They must stay offsite - THANK GOODNESS!

Not in our resort, but a friend of ours stayed at the all star movies and they were tons of them there, I knew they were onsite because they were at the EMH.

one thing that I dont understand, and believe me I am not trying to offend anyone here, but why (if they are so loud and rude) does Disney not do anything about it, tell them that if they get caught holding a place in line for a hundred people they are going to have to leave the park, if they are going to bang on anything that might resemble a drum to them then they need to do it else where etc. I dont think that it is too much or too offending to ask someone that is clearly causing a disturbance to quiet it down or be asked to leave. I have never run into one of these groups (maybe because we go in the fall and not the summer?) but I can tell you my husband has NOOOOO patience when it comes to people clearly being rude.. must be the police officer in him::cop:

My poor DD got ran over at the Stunt show when one of the groups come in running, not walking fast, running, it was wet and we were waiting like everyone else and when they let us in we walked normal and then all of the sudden they came in like horses, it was like 50 of them, the flag lady was already inside holding their spots, ohh I was so mad, we didn't even see the show, DD's clothes got dirty and wet, we told a CM, she was nice and got DD a shirt and shorts, Disney is not the same with all those tours.

Disney doesn't do anything about because they don't get enough complaints. We were there last summer w/ the Brazilians and the way they walk together and encompass the WHOLE walkway was really the only problem I/we encountered. I don't remember any line holding, cause they wouldn't have all jumped in front of me.
I think POP warner is way worse. Now mind you, we did see some extremely well-behaved girls. And we saw some AWFUL ones. What was most disgusting about the poorly behaved ones is that the chaperones did nothing to stop the bad behavior and sometimes even 'egged' the girls on. They were awful about cheering/screaming in lines at attractions, on the bus, etc.. I also saw more than one time where they were pyramid building and performing routines on the walkways at Epcot, MK and DHS. We did not see that behavior at AK. Actually, I don't even recall seeing any cheer groups when we were at AK. Fortunately we did NOT have them at our hotel, POP. But friends of ours had them at their value and complained about them practicing at 11pm to 2am. Now to me, that is not reasonable. More people than not, are sleeping at that time of the night. It was very inconsiderate of the chaperones to allow that kind of behavior.

We saw them today in the parks - not in large groups...but in small family-sized clusters...but wearing shirts that told us that they were from Brazil.

They acted like every other visitor.

There are LOTS of groups here right now...not just the Brazilians. While I witnessed quite a bit of misbehaving at the parks today, I don't think any of it was from the Brazilians.

Note: when I was trying to move out of the BWI, one of the CMs told me that everythng was booked and a main cause was that the Brazilians are here. Wow! So, I assume they are staying on-site to some degree.

MK was amazingly crowded today!

We have stayed at all star movies end of june start of july for the past 3 years and there was always large groups of them. They totally take over the food court and buses. last year we stayed in mighty ducks overlooking the pool and they would be in the pool at all hours and were very noisy.

In the mornings we tried to dodge the times they would be eating as it would take forever to get served in the food court and they always seemed to take over lots of tables with only a couple sitting at table so there were hardly any tables left.

they always seem to go around the parks together so if 1 queues for 1 ride so do the other 200 or so of them. if you see them at one ride go to another!!

There was a large group of them staying at Port Orleans Riverside this past 2 weeks. We went to the quick service restaurant to grab a coffee while waiting for the kids on their Pirate Cruise and witnessed a sea of yellow.

We were at the parks both last year and this year in July but I have to admit that I didn't witness any singing or yelling this year compared to last year. Maybe the tour operators got the message.

They seem to roam the parks in large packs, making them pretty easy to spot..and hopefully, avoid.
Sounds like they mainly stay at the Value resorts when they stay on property.
I believe a few years back that Disney DID get enough complaints that they actually tried to "educate" the Brazilians in proper behavior. Seem to recall they sent flyers and such to the agencies that book these groups in Brazil, with such advice as "'We don't shove people out of the way here in the U.S." "We don't dance on the tables in restaurants", etc etc.
I also seem to recall that it outraged certain folks in Brazil, who were in denial that their little darlings behaved in any way other than appropriate. And as we see, it had no effect whatsoever anyway.
As has been noted, the only reason that Disney does nothing is $$$$$$$$.

We were at this same stunt show, I believe. It ended up being cancelled due to weather, but the bleachers were packed nonetheless. They were cheering and singing and jumping up and down so much that I thought the bleachers would collapse. I really had no problem with the singing itself, as it seemed they were just having a little fun, but the "bouncing bleachers" became a safety issue.

Also, they were pushy in line at a couple of rides. When I told them to stop, they did.......

Of course my DD15 thought their singing and jumping on the bleachers were great ...

We just returned from Disney and we saw three large groups. They weren't at our hotel, we just saw them in the parks.

They were fine and they were well-behaved. But the issue we had was I was in line first thing in the morning for fast passes for Toy Story Mania. There were two people who represented groups at the front of two lines - one was putting in every room key for 75 fast passes and another for 56 passes. I heard at the MK they can't do that anymore, but they still could at Hollywood Studios.

They only good thing was then the manager just started pumping out fast passes b/c the rest of the people in line were so upset.
