Did anyone watch Dr. Phil today?

I'm watching it now, and am horrified.... I could not watch the video, I muted it and turned it back on when Dr. Phil started speaking...

This woman should not have custody of her children... The authorities need to be told and those children need to be taken.... I would never say this off the cuff, but these kids need a safe place to live

I specifically just signed onto the Community Board to see if anyone else was having the same reaction as me.....


I am here in tears, horrified, watching this.

The even sadder thing is that this probably happens in home far more often than we'd like to think. Dr. Phil has already told the woman that her behaviour will stop TODAY or he'll report her to the authorities.

I watched about half of the video the first time it was run, that was enough for me... If I could take those children and provide them a safe environment I certainly would do that. No children deserve what these children are being given... I hope these children can find the peace and stability that they need

Those clips made me nauseated. I can't understand how anyone could harbor so much hate and be so violent to their own children. I'm absolutely disgusted.

It just came out in the conversation that this family was scheduled to appear in a couple of weeks, but when Dr. Phil saw the footage, he had them brought in immediately. The kids do not want their mother to be in trouble, I feel Dr. Phil handled it correctly; he got them in immediately once he found out what was happening, he's getting them all "help", and he told them in no uncertain terms that HE WILL report them to the authorities if she ever does this to them again.

I watched the short clip too. It doesn't look good.

However, I will say that growing up my sister and I endured many things that my DM and DSF would have been arrested or at least charged for in this day and age.

One of the worst things I can remember is my dm throwing the VCR at one of us. Well that and the black eyes my Dsf gave me in middle school. Not one of my teachers back them asked how I was or if I needed help.

It's hard to judge the family by just film clips though....

Were any of the children ADD or ODD or was it all brought down on the mom?

No, this was definitely a case of the Mother's rage which had nothing to do with the children... the children seemed absolutely wonderful, well behaved, scared into submission, but all for not

I didn't realize the clip was on the net... be forewarned if you haven't seen it yet

I think in this case Dr. Phil should have removed the mother from the home for the safety of the children as she herself could not guarantee she wouldn't kill one of them... what an awful situation

I haven't seen the show or read any replies. I do however know what you are talking about because I happened to be watching Dr. Phil on Larry King Live not too long ago.

They showed a brief clip of this. Apparently, their isn't a film crew there taping things, they somehow have it set up automatically (hence why CPS wasn't called immediately). However, he did say that they knew what was on the tapes before it was sent in and he did say he told her that he was going to report her before the show was over since he's a mandated reporter. He did also say they were scheduled to go on later but immediately put them on. I'm paraphrasing because I can't remember verbatim what he said.

They showed a small piece of the clip of the video, along with a clip of her on Dr. Phil's show on it.

I'm watching it right now too. This is soo sad. She needs professional help and those poor kids need to be removed till she's better. And they just said the dad kicks them with steel toe boots?
