Did anyone see Surreal Life?

For those who don't know it's aNOTHER reality show where they put some EX celebrities in a house for 10 days and record them.

The mix of "celebs" was incredible

A rock star (Vince Neal)

A "rap" star (Hammer)

A child star (Emmanuel Lewis)

A child and teen star (Corey Feldman)

A Playmate (Brande Roderick)

A 90210 Actress (Gabrielle Carteris)

and A Survivor (Jerri Manthey)

Very interesting group of people. Jerri was basically treated as an outcast because no one in the house had ever seen Survivor!! So much for her EX celebrity.

I must say I was very impressed with this show. The mix is a good mix and though they all stand for something different, at least they all stand for something!

I didn't see it, but I heard Emanuel Lewis and Hammer on the Howard Stern show yesterday. They were both a hoot. I love Emanuel Lewis especially, he is so funny and upbeat.

Emmanuel Lewis is a little DOLL! He still looks like a kid and doesn't seem to mind!

What a pleasure to see a child star that doesn't have major hangups!

Only ten days? Is that enough time for all the little "battles" to occur that draws me to these reality shows????

Did anybody notice that Vince was wearing a Disney Yacht Club shirt for most of the show?

I know that they're only there for 10 days but based on what they did last night and the previews for the next show, they accomplish ALOT during that time!

I'm hooked already. Knowing Vince Neil's reputation, I can't wait to see who he punches first. My money's on Corey Feldman.

Especially considering how Vince admitted he dated Corey's ex wife!!! Wow!

I had to go help a friend fix his daughter's computer last night, so I taped the show. I hope to watch it tonight. I'll be on the lookout for the YC shirt.

Could someone refresh my memory? I can't seem to place Corey in any show.

To be honest, had I not been told who they were, I would have only recognized Emanuel Lewis. I didn't watch 90210 or Bay Watch and was never into Motley Crew or MC Hammer. And Jerri does look a little different than she did on Survivor, her hair or something......

I 'believe' Corey Feldman was married to Vanessa Marcil from General Hospital when they both were very young.

I watched it and really liked it too. Sure seems like a lot goes on for only 10 days! I can remember being so ga-ga over Corey Feldman back in the day. Seems like he is going to be the group trouble maker (along with Jerri). They are re-running the first episode on Sunday at 7 p.m. if anybody missed it.

I can't think of any tv show that Corey Feldman was on but he was in a ton of movies in the 80's. In Goonies he was Mouth and he was also in The Lost Boys off the top of my head.

Corey didn't do any television shows (that I'm aware of). He did LOTS of movies as a teenager - many co-starring with Corey Haim. His most famous role is probably that of the little boy in the original The Shining.

Kirby, you're not the only one. When they went around to introduce themselves to the neighbors, the one that they noticed first was Emmanuel Lewis, who looks just like he did from the Webster days.

I only do not recognize Brande, since Baywatch and Playboy are not high up on my list of favorites... Everyone else I knew well.

After reading Corey's bio, it still rings no bells. Oh well....

What did ya'll think about eating sushi off the nearly naked girl. I know that the food wasn't actually touching her body but do you think that you could sit there or would you have to go somewhere else? I'm not sure that I could, a little to decadent for me.

Going to the neighbors seemed a lot of fun. Can you imagine, in that neighborhood, someone coming up to your door, "Hello, we are your new neighbors! Have some brownies!"

I loved it and can't wait for next week, but a few things bothered me...SPOILER ALERT IF YOU'VE HAVEN SEEN IT YET












1) when the fortune cookies were given out and they were obviously mean't for that person, why'd they have to ask Vince about "what brick really hurt him". I knew right away that he'd say the death of his daughter Skylar at the age of 4. I'm sure the producers knew that, but why MAKE him have to share that with the others so soon?

Also - it disgusted me to see Vince going for a beer after the accident he had driving drunk resulting in the death of his best friend years ago. I'd think he wouldn't want to touch alcohol again..but I'm not him.

2) eating sushi off of a naked woman? what's up with that?

I do love the mix of people too and definitely want to keep up with the show.

For those of you that missed it, I think that it is being replayed Sunday.

I thought it was funny how Corey said that the reason for the vegetarians friends of Gabrielle was wrong and then denied saying it later. Huh? We all heard you!
