Did Anyone See James Blunt on Oprah Yesterday?

I haven't been all that *into* this guy or his song "You're Beautiful." It's a bit too sappy for my taste, but not bad. Anyway, he was on Oprah yesterday during the last 30 minutes of the show. I thought he was really great. He performed "You're Beautiful" and another song that was good. He really seemed into his performance and he was funny and kind of cute.

I was just surprised by how much I liked him.

I just heard his song yesterday before the Oprah show. It's a very touching song that he wrote to his ex. He seems like a very nice guy and someone who is down to earth. He hasn't had fame get to him yet although he is well known in his country.

I saw him sing it live and it still makes my ears bleed.

I haven't liked the song from day 1 - it's just a little too much for me. Not to mention the fact that it's played VERY frequently on the radio. I agree with you Lindsay - no need for extreme forms of torture, just play this song.

That was the song he sang at the end. The funny part was, before he played it he said it was a "pathetic" song and it was god awful but he was going to play it. At the end, he kind of crack a smile and said "She really didn't mean that much to me."

That must have been one hell of a break up.

Well, that's kind of what I was trying to say in my post. I really didn't care for his music all that much. My DD (14)likes the song, believe it or not, and I was always trying to change it when it came on the radio. Or, I'd make fun of it in the car in my worst falsetto voice. But I was sort of forced to watch Oprah yesterday and I was just impressed with what a "refreshing" personality he was.
