I know you did Jen, but this was my first time watching it.. ;) Anyone have any thoughts on the show??

My thoughts (trying not to do a Simon here!!):

Act Number 1 (Can't Remember her name) sounded too much like "Son of a Preacher Man" for my liking..

The dude from East 17 (or whatever...) was so rubbish I couldn't stand it! :headache:

Big Brovas.. First thoughts: Where have you been in the last 2 years? Second thoughts: So your comeback is doing more of the same?? Yeah.....

Cyndi: Too much of a Leona... Popular now, hated by everyone in the next week.. Try X Factor, not eurovision..

Hawkins and Brown: Too many conflictions in voice. You can't have two high pitched singers together; there voices just clash with each other..

Scooch: I thought that...
  • Their costumes where horrible
  • They couldn't sing
  • There were too many double entendres in their song..
  • I had no clue what the lyrics to the song where
  • They looked too much like the infamous "Fast Food Rockers"
  • They will probably not realise an ablum after Eurovision.
  • And they were really cheesy..

BUT..

They had greatest crowd potential, and in the end, that could win eurovision!!!

I was :scared1: when I heard the results at first, and then was :lmao: when I discovered that Logan made a mistake!!!!

So... Did anyone see?? :)

Hi Matt

I watched it........ wel was made to by some friends who were over.

Scootch - were terrible but I think the best option, I didn't actually see the result (we were eating then) WHO WON?

please don't say Brian Harvey he was absolutely terrible!
Sarah

I did watch it and I felt like punching Terry Wogan!!! I can't believe how horrible they were reading out the wrong winner! What was that about? The girl, Cyndi, was crushed! You can't just announce they've won and then 30 seconds later tell her its not her, it was terrible and he deserved a swift kick in the behind!

Justin Hawkins sulked like a school boy...I liked his song but his singing bugged me. Too high, too high!

Scooch were not great singers but they were cute and very Eurovision so i'm glad they went through! And I liked their uniforms!!! Garish, loud and will be a crowd pleaser in the most important countries at Eurovision, the Eastern bloc! :rotfl2:

Hey Sarah.

Brian Harvey went out FIRST!!!! :cool1: :lmao: Followed by Act Number 1!!

They split them into 2 groups of 2 and then got rid of 2 of them. Big Brovas and Justin then went! Then they had a sing off to show off, and then after the things were re-counted, Wogan annoced the winner to be Cyndi which meant that Cotton had to say "No, actually the winner is Scooch!"

:lmao:

Thanks Matt
Actually that Cyndi women was quite good - but the harmony behind the song was similar to "you raise me up" chord structure and she played on key changes alot and also I'm not sure it's right to sing for another country!?!!!? hmmmmmm :confused3

Scootch were cheesey but maybe what we need to win! :cool1:

Brian Harvey was out of tune and straing to sing the notes and why did he have to mention the accident?? was he trying to get more votes?

When was the last time we won? Gina-G?

Might not be good eurovision but I hope the girls serve on my next flight.

Will Wogan go back to presenting BBC BLOOMERS?

i heard about the mix up with the results on the radio this morning :lmao: i also thought the song sounded terrible :confused3

I actually met Scootch years ago at Butlins and they had a few hits bout 7 years ago, sounded a lot like Steps then, which would be very Eurovision. Ah well, I'm sure we'll be snubbed in the scoring for political reasons anyway:lmao:

I really wanted Cyndi to win, I thought we might have had a chance with that. I hated Scooch, what a complete load of cheesy c**p!! I know Eurovision is cheesy but I don't think songs like that do very well anymore, lets face it last years schoolgirl one didnt exactly do well did it!!
