They re-visited the participants of the Weight Loss Challenge. Remember them - 6 friends who were trying to lose weight for their high school reunion?

It had been 3 months since the reunion and almost all of them had gone off their plans and re-gained some weight. The one who had stayed successfully on plan and managed to lose additional weight checked in daily to her trainers website and had gotten lots of support via e-mail from friends.

As I watched this, I was reminded of what we have here at WISH! No matter what plan you are on, having someone you can count on day in and day out for support is so important! Thank you, WISH buddies, for being my support!!:sunny:

PS - If you would like to see the transcipt on the Dateline site, here is a link:

You're absolutely right ! There wouldn't be "less" of me without my WISH friends. Anytime, day or night, you folks are always here for me. Thanks :teeth:

I missed that program. Thanks for the link to the transcript, I want to read it.

WISH is a great place. The support group is the best!

I missed the program too. Thanks for the link.

I couldn't agree more that my WISH friends make my weight loss journey so much more pleasant and definitely more successful than if DH and I were trying to do this on our own. Thanks so much to you all for your support and encouragement!

Yes! I saw it. I was amazed about the entire thing and then scared too. I hope "scared straight" because I guess that their story is the norm. I remembered something about it taking 3 years and figured oh my it is going to take that long to become/remain healthy. I am becoming more committed to do this and will continue with my small goals and steps.
I need you WISH friends.

PS: Thanks for the link, I was just talking about that program today and didn't see the entire story.

I missed it as well - which was really disappointing because I had followed that story from day 1!!!!

I remember hearing (I don't recall where???) that having an "event" as your primary goal/reason for losing weight was not always a great idea (theirs was their class reunion). Because once your "event" has passed, you feel like you're done! As a "mini-goal" they are fine, but not as your whole motivation! And that longer lasting reasons for wanting to lose weight were to lead a healthier life, feel better, maybe get off some medication....things like that....I guess that does make sense.....

I'll have to go read the transcript....
