Did anyone run over your pink flamingo at the Fort?

I didn't know those things were so hard to find until I decided I was going to cover my nosey neighbor's yard with them....sadly the season was over ad none were found....she got mad at me for airing out my tent after it got drowned not once but twice ad she thought is shouldn't be in our yard to detract from HER neighborhood....even after explaining that the tent couldn't be put away until it DRIED OR IT WOULD ROT she insisted it be taken down...(didn't happen lol)..

Sounds like my neighbors. Why do people have to have such a cow over such stupid stuff? I would have left the tent there for a week if she had come at me like that.

Even better would be to park your TT on your front lawn, put a piece of astroturf on the ground in front of the door and all the pink flamingos you can find bordering the astroturf. It's too bad your neighbor is like that, she'd have a cow big time if she lived by me. Airing out the tent in the yard has become camping out overnight several times. Before too much time had passed after we did this the first time, all the adjacent neighbors with kids had done the same thing.

A High School Marching Band in Bradenton, Florida has the best fund raising event I've ever heard of!

You can hire the band members to "decorate" someone's front yard for a special event with (you guessed it) Pink Flamingo's!!! A dear friend did this to her hubby in honor of his 50th birthday! When hubby got home from work that evening (boss kept him late on purpose) he was greeted by over 100 pink flamingos in his yard, a big 50 sign, and the Marching Mustand Band playing "Happy Birthday". (Oh yeah, about 75 people and a couple of kegs, too!!)

Best birthday party I've ever been to!!

Pink Flamingo News Story

We just finished some private landscaping in our backyard and wanted to get a pink flamingo and also discovered the original company went out of business and the "real ones" now command a real pretty penny. If you back over more than about one it's now a "FEDERAL HIT AND RUN" offense.
