Did anyone plans things for kids to do?

We are having a few events and I would like to find some cool and fun things for the kids to do.

Our first is the welcome lunch where we will go to MNSSHP afterwards. I am looking for fun halloween type things for the kids to do. Not arts and crafts stuff, but games or face painters.....that kind of thing.

Another event is our reception at the ADH. We will be having characters, but again would love to have some fun stuff for the kids to do so they won't be bored.

Any ideas?

I know at your reception they can have a kids table specially decorated and with butcher paper for coloring on. A lot of disbrides bring special activities like coloring books, small toys etc for the kids table.

Hi. That's a great thing to try to plan. For our reception, we contacted Kids Nite Out. They work with Disney often and they planned a fantastic event in a room right next to our reception. Parents and kids both loved it.

I had a kids table. They lowered it so it was just above the floor and there were pillows and blankets around for the kids to get comfy on. I then purchased a bunch of disney coloring books, crayong, mini games and crafts for the kids to make. And the kids that were at my wedding were over there most of the night (and my older FG actually crashed there pretty early since itw as a late wedding)

We have been to a few weddings that had a kids table or area. There were coloring books, crayons, lego's, puzzles, a few board games. One wedding we went to they had a another room with a TV and game system for the older kids to play on.

My DD is getting married in March 2013 and we have been talking about this, we have thought about a kids table for after dinner there will not be alot of kids at the wedding. But for the one's attending we want them to feel special we are going to make place mats that they can draw on with crayons, and maybe a little gift. To help keep them busy at the table.

We went to a beach wedding and there were pails and shovels, with the kids name on it. Right outside of the room where the reception was being held was a play area and sand box, The kids loved it, the Bride and Groom paid for 2 girls from their church day-care to watch them. This was a very casual beachy wedding, they let the parent know to bring play clothes for the kids.
