My DD (14) saw it. She was pretty freaked out. Wouldn't sleep in her bed, so she slept on the living room couch with the light on. But, she DID sleep. So it's survivable. Me...I have no desire to scare the hell out of myself.
My dd age 16 and her bestfriend saw The Grudge last night and were totally freaked out. They both love a good scary movie (which i hate) and nothing seems to ever faze them.....but this really put them both in freak out mode. She slept with the bedroom light on last night....
Just got back!! Loved it!! DH was jumping in his seat the whole time It was my choice to go.....I love scary movies (no gore) and this did not disappoint!
I thought the storyline could have been better, but I liked it overall. It did have its freaky moments . I went with my friend, her 14yo DD and 3 of her friends. The teenage girls were a hoot! They were jumping out of their seats and screaming. It's a good choice for a Halloween movie.
Boy, I thought I was excited to see this movie when I first heard about it, now after reading these reviews, I can't wait!!!! I love scary movies, as long as they're not real bloody.
I'm with you Annette! It looks way too scary!!! I was even scared to open this thread So as much as I love Sarah Michelle Geller, I'll be missing this one...
DS and I saw it over the weekend and loved it. He watched it with his hood drawn down over most of his eyes. He wanted to see it before taking his girlfriend so he would be "ready" for the scary stuff. He slet on the couch in the living room with the lights on last night. Its not gory, just "whats next" kind of creepy. I do agree with other posters that the script was a little weak but it was good for a few jumps in the seat.
