I was wondering how you liked it? I see it is number one? So apparently some of you went and saw it?

Insanely scary!

From start to finish....Best scary movie I've seen as far as scare factor goes!

check it out at http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/thegrudge/

Turn off the lights.....turn up the volume... Well worth $8.50x2 to me

Don't be fooled by the PG-13, the japanese don't need gore to scare the hell out of you!

My DD (14) saw it. She was pretty freaked out. Wouldn't sleep in her bed, so she slept on the living room couch with the light on. But, she DID sleep. So it's survivable. Me...I have no desire to scare the hell out of myself.

My dd age 16 and her bestfriend saw The Grudge last night and were totally freaked out. They both love a good scary movie (which i hate) and nothing seems to ever faze them.....but this really put them both in freak out mode. She slept with the bedroom light on last night....

Just got back!! Loved it!! DH was jumping in his seat the whole time :teeth: It was my choice to go.....I love scary movies (no gore) and this did not disappoint!

It was very scary, A very fun movie, everyone in the audience
was reacting in their seats......It was great

:D I'm happy to hear some good reviews! I can't wait to see this. It didn't fare so well with the critics so I was a little worried.

I thought the storyline could have been better, but I liked it overall. It did have its freaky moments . I went with my friend, her 14yo DD and 3 of her friends. The teenage girls were a hoot! They were jumping out of their seats and screaming. It's a good choice for a Halloween movie.

Hey, if it makes my bf jump (a big ol' 6ft5" guy who isn't scared of anything), then this movie is freaky. He jumped more than *I* did!! :)

Boy, I thought I was excited to see this movie when I first heard about it, now after reading these reviews, I can't wait!!!! I love scary movies, as long as they're not real bloody.

Just the commercial freaks me out. No way do I want to see the whole thing!

I'm with you Annette! It looks way too scary!!! I was even scared to open this thread:eek: So as much as I love Sarah Michelle Geller, I'll be missing this one...

Okay...I saw The Ring once and once is enough for the rest of my life....how does The Grudge compare to The Ring?

I was going to ask a similiar question. The Ring didn't scare me, I like the Blair Witch Project, how does it compare to both of them?

DS and I saw it over the weekend and loved it. He watched it with his hood drawn down over most of his eyes. He wanted to see it before taking his girlfriend so he would be "ready" for the scary stuff. He slet on the couch in the living room with the lights on last night. Its not gory, just "whats next" kind of creepy. I do agree with other posters that the script was a little weak but it was good for a few jumps in the seat.
