I went last night and I thought it was fantastic!:banana: An instant Disney classic. Funny parts, sad parts, it had it all.

Anybody else see it on opening night?? :upsidedow

I want to see this with my girls. We got a couple free tickets from Disneystore. The actress was on The View Thursday, she is so sweet and so pretty. This looks like a great movie.

I took my 3 girls to see it yesterday and it was fabulous!:thumbsup2 We loved it from start to finish. Reminds me of old school Disney movies. The animation was gorgeous, the songs were lively and we are planning to see it again. :goodvibes Definitely a new Disney classic.

I went to see it yesterday and overall thought it was a good movie. I have one complaint that I have about many many cartoon/movies from Disney in general. Sort of a spoiler so highlight below to read:

Start ->
Why did they have to kill off Tiana's dad? Every movie, they either have divorced parents or single parents or someone dies...I mean seriously, it wouldn't have ruined the story to let him live. Ok, only complaint.
<- End

I'm going to the 1 pm showing today! I'm so excited, I've been waiting for this movie for over a year now! I'll give my report afterwards!

We saw it yesterday and DD, DH and I loved it. DS just slept. It was cute, funny and the ending was good.

I did!
I thought it was an excellent movie, quintessentially Disney in every way.

Absolutely beautiful movie. Back to classic Disney in my opinion. I laughed and cried and left the theater totally happy. I would recommend this movie to absolutely anyone at any age.

I saw it today - there were a lot of elements I really enjoyed. The '20s New Orleans/Bayou setting really made this! Tiana and Naveen were very appealing, separately and as a couple. I love musicals, and really enjoyed the songs. Friends on the Other Side is THE best Disney song in ages! And when they bring back the reprise - whoo!! Keith David is fantastic as Facilier, although I thought the character could have been a little more developed. They jerked the tears out of me as intended, and I'm not sure how I feel about that. Overall, I'd give it a B+ - it felt a bit sprawling and overstuffed in places (I thought the Frog Hunters scene could have been cut completely, and Louis, while appealing, wasn't really necessary). For fans of Disney Fairy Tale Musicals, it's a must, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it to people who don't already like the genre.

MY 17 yr old daughter and I saw it last night. We thought it was very cute. She laughed at the end at an inside Disney joke..........At the very end of the movie the base drum says. 'Fire fly five plus 2'
She also spotted Aladin's lamp and one other that I forget at the moment

Nice to see the favorable reviews. I don't go to see Disney movies in theaters any more, I just wait & get 'em on DVD.:earsboy:

Saw it yesterday right after DD4 finished school. It was great, and DD was spellbound from the moment the movie started until the very end. Normally, she's a wiggler, and a good portion of the time, she falls asleep, but not this time!

I thought it was absolutely beautiful! And the music (although I'd heard it all, of course) was great. I'll admit to being a little irritated by the Lottie character, but I still loved it.

We'll be going again next weekend, I expect. DH is travelling, but he wanted to see it in the theater. Normally, I would beg off, but this time, I actually want to go again. :yay:

Someone at the costume ball was dressed up as Ariel and King Triton was in the Mardi Gras parade. Where was Aladdin's lamp?! And can you please explain the inside joke? I love that kind of stuff. :)

We just got home from seeing the movie and we loved it. Like everyone else has said it is like the older Disney Films, great music, great characters, great story. We will be buying this when it comes out on DVD
