As I stated in another thread, I gave dh a trip to Universal Studios - anyone give or get a trip?

Not here, but I know my neighbor is taking her DS (12) and DD#1 (10) to London at the end of February and that was their present. She is using a friend's marriot points for lodging and leaving her DD#2 (5 1/2) with her DH.

Not exactly. We're already going to WDW on Jan 5 and staying for 10 days, but I got tickets to see Cirque Du Soleil for my sister, myself and a friend that is going and my sis' was her christmas gift. She was ecstatic.

DD Sarah is visiting her friend in South Carolina this week. It was her first experience flying along and, according to our last phone conversation, she is having the time of her life right now. I guess you could consider this her "big" present this year.

I gave my nephew a trip to the Olympics in February. Of course he has to take his Aunties with him! We are both bouncing off the walls and counting the days until we get on that plane to Italy.

Yes, I gave my daughters (12 and 17) a surprise trip to NYC this summer. I booked our plane tickets (hang on until June, please, Delta!) and bought tickets to Wicked, their "must-see" show. I also gave them each a new guidebook, and they will get to decide where we stay and what else we're going to do (another show or two, which museums they want to visit, what shopping they want to do, etc.) I can't wait!!!!!

I gave DD17 a trip to Northern Europe in July. It's also her graduation and birthday gift.

I kind of did. My band trip in February is part of my Christmas presents. We are going to Disney World. I can't wait.

A couple years ago, though, "Santa" gave us a trip to Universal Studios and Cocoa Beach. When we got to Cocoa Beach, we pulled into the parking lot and they had dogs there sniffing the car (drug or bomb dogs, I forget which one). We were thinking Oh boy, what did we get into. We found out when we were checking in that the Space Shuttle Columbia was launching that week and the Israellie dignitaries as well as Ilan Ramon's family (he was the first Israelli astronaut in space) were staying at our hotel. We got to see Columbia's final launch. I remember me and my mom were doing laundry one night and we met a woman in the laundry room with her grandson. Her family was taking a DCL cruise. My mom needed more quarters, so I went to the front desk to get some. There were so many people in the lobby holding Israelli and American flags, it was amazing. I wasn't too fond of Universal Studios, but that trip will always be a memorable one. There were police and horseback (there's a funny story there) and countersnipers on the roof. There was so much security there and some guy actually had the nerve to go out in the hall in the middle of the night and wave some type of weapon around :confused3 (we heard it on a walkie talkie in the middle of the night when a security guard I'm guessing walked past our room.)

DH and I didn't exchange gifts this year in lieu of a weekend getaway. We're thinking of going to the Poconos, but nothing is booked yet.

It is a day trip-DH and I gave Phantom of the Opera tickets to our DSs (15 and 17) and to my mom. Of course we bought tickets for ourselves too. ;) The show is tomorrow in NYC!!

The other half and I didn'y buy actual gifts. We got things for the both of us. We got a laptop and we are going to WDW Jan 5th-9th

I'm giving myself a trip to Vegas next week, but my parents, grandfather and grandmother are paying for it, because I'm using my Christmas money to cover everything.

Yes! I'm sending my dh and oldest ds to WDW Jan 12-16. After our twins were born, dh sent me and our oldest down and now's my chance to return the favor. The twins are 21 months old and will go on their second trip there with us in June. :-)

Yep ! DH gave me a Disney trip for February ! and that's after he said, no more Disney !!!

Yep! DH and I gave each other a trip to Jamaica. We have it booked for 5 nights at the Sandals Whitehouse for the end of March. Can't wait!

Santa brought a letter from the Princesses inviting DD6 to come and stay at the CBR for 8 days in January. They also invited her to the castle for lunch, to have breakfast with Chef Mickey, to have breakfast at the Crystal Palace, to a variety of other meals, and to see Meredith Viera at Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. We are all VERY excited that the Princesses and Santa were so good to us this year.

Ooooh...have you looked into Caesar's Pocono Resports?? They're 'couples' resorts, the kind with heart shaped whirlpool, etc. VERY fun!
