LodgeMan,
I got the survey. In fact, they sent me two of them about five days apart. The surveys showed me that they are completely out of touch with what I like about WDW and why I go there. It was sad.
One thing that bothered me was that Rides Parades and Shows were all grouped into one lump throughout the entire survey. For example, if they asked what I would like to see more of, there was a list, but Rides, Parades and Shows was one possible answer of many. So if I mark that answer, I can hear them saying that I asked for more parades, which I did not. I want more rides. Rather, I want more ATTRACTIONS that are high in Disney quality. That will make me come back, renew my pass, and spend more money there. But parades and shows will not.
And then there were some truly odd possible responses. Why do I go to WDW? One possible answer: I feel a need to re-connect with WDW. What is that all about? Do they really think that I am that emotionally and psychologically attached to this place? That my life won't go on without one more visit? Or maybe they are just giving themselves a lot of credit. Also, answers like I go because advertisements remind me of the magic and I need to be reminded of the magic. (Those last two are not exact quotes, but very close - you get the idea).
I felt like writing, Stop wasting time and money with all of this survey crap and go back to what you do best. Highly themed attractions that people will travel around the world, and spend big bucks to see. I guess they just cant figure that out
and they didnt give me a way to express it.
