Did anyone get AP rate at YC or BC?

I'm just curious. Did anyone get the AP rate at the Yacht or Beach? We are booked at the Poly and really want to stay there but we love the YC/BC - no rooms were available during our stay and I've called back to check 3 times. I've also read numerous posts saying the same thing. Did anyone get it???

I'll keep trying but I'm starting to feel like there is no hope.

I got the Yacht Club for July 28th- August 2nd. Tried to add on a day to the beginning of the trip, but no availability. For my dates however, there were both standard and waterview rooms available...didn't ask about any other room types.

The BC had no availability for my dates and I played around by a day or two on each end.

We had an existing reservation at BC for July 24-Aug 3 called day of AP discouunt release $194 + tax stnd. rm. and had it applied for length of stay.

Last year (July 7-19) when Ap discount was released ( $189 +tax) we had Ap discount applied for half of stay, a couple of weeks after original release date they released more rooms for the Ap discount and got it for the length of stay, ....Sooooo keep calling.

I booked a one night stay for 7/11/07 at YC with the AP rate. We are arriving late in the afternoon and wanted to stay at an EPCOT resort since we will be spending that evening at EPCOT. We move on 7/12 to the Polynesian.

I will say that when I called at 7:30 a.m. on the release day, there was nothing available at the EPCOT resorts for that day. I called back two hours or so later and was offered all of the EPCOT resorts including DVCs at the AP rate. Not sure what was up with that, but it all worked out well.

I was able to get it! I had an existing reservation at YC 6/30-7/1. When I called the night AP rates were released, there was no availability at YC for my dates, but I could switch to Beach Club or Boardwalk. So I switched to Beach Club. Saved me about $60 per night compared to the AAA rate I had originally!

Ok - so it really exists. Whew! I was beginning to wonder. We are planning on going 7/21 - 7/29. Yes, we can be somewhat flexible. It can't go into August. I tried 7/14 for 8 nights - nothing. I'm going to keep on trying!

Pam - I've been trying for 7/14-7/21 and absolutely nothing available. I haven't read anyone that has been able to grab those dates. We're staying at an offsite townhouse this trip and if we the way we hope we're doing it for our Dec trip as well. I'm tired of playing the "code" game

Thanks for the info. It turns out we can be quite flexible with our dates so I'm going to keep trying.

I'm tired of the code game too - that's why we often stay at the Swan or Dolphin.

I had posted on another thread.....for some reason the YC / BC is not available (even for rack rate) after 7/14 until about 7/18. We booked weeks ago and are staying at BC 7/8 - 7/14 and are switching to GF for one night at the end of our trip. Good Luck.

I booked BC std. vw. for July 22-26 on the first morning the rates were released, and there was availability for my dates for all three Epcot resorts. Decided the next day that we'd rather have YC, and was able to switch for the same rate ($194 + tax). I checked the website a couple of days ago, to see if there was anything for July 28-Aug. 1 (thinking of extending our trip) and there were still AP rooms available at all three, although for the BC there was only CL rooms left.

Just got off the phone with Disney and was able to book BC for July 24th - Aug 2nd with an AP Rate of $194. Never been there but since there are no codes for the Poly I had no choice....ugh!

I'm glad to know it IS possible. I've tried for 7/21 - 7/29 and didn't get it so that's weird. I guess it's the 7/21 - 24th that wasn't working. I'm going to keep trying and I can rearrange my dates a little.

If anyone else is having luck - please report in.

Don't give up Minnie. I'm not going to. Can you be flexible with your dates? We can be somewhat flexible but not 100% flexible as if we can go "any time at all." I could go 7/24 - 7/31 and it looks like another poster got those dates. I'm thinking seriously about doing just that. I really want the Poly, but the idea of saving over $700 is starting to appeal to me. Plus, we love the YC/BC. I wouldn't switch for the BW or Saratoga and certainly not for OKW - Stayed there once and didn't like it at all.
