As much as we said we were not going to we did....we didn't need it just wanted it! It's amazing only problem is we all want to use it including the kids,,,I am sure we will be buying more before the year is out!

I only got an iphone in January so I'm milking the novelty of that as much as possible and plan to try and hold off on the iPad until 2nd generation...it's hard to resist though!

I work near the Apple store in London, was crazy busy all day Friday.

We were going to hold off for 2nd gen too, but just could not resist!:)

Think if i had the money I'd have got one
waiting for the price to fall

think I might be waiting a while

Been and bought one today, a belated birthday present. :lmao:just looking for the free apps to put on at the moment.:thumbsup2

We did our best to resist but one visit to the Apple Store and well we now have an i pad !!!!!!

I am currently 4th in the queue to use it !!!!

Which iPad(s) did you guys go for??? I'm wondering whether to treat myself to one of the wifi only models in the US... :rolleyes1

We bought the 64gb one Karen!!!

I got one - I opted for 64gb 3G option. And i really like it.

My main laptop is a 17" MacBook pro so it's really nice to have something so much smaller and lighter.

I'm finding the keyboard really nice for typing as well... I can see where people are coming forom when they. Say its nothing more than an oversized iPhone, but the large screen makes it so much nicer to use :thumbsup2

Thats what DH and I always say about gadgets, we don't need it we just want it.:lmao:

I might just need to have a trip to the Apple Store soon.;)

We bought the 64gb wifi only, my DH says he can tether it to his iphone! I was worried how I would connect to the internet when we stay on site as it's a wired connection only but apparently we only need to bring a router.

Thanks for the input guys, I've done my research and am think I'm going to get one in Orlando next week!!! :woohoo: I was planning on buying a Kindle DX e-reader anyway and, as I can get an App that supports that, it makes more sense to spend a little more on something more versatile... ;)

I've got a feeling hubby will treat himself to one this week ;)

Brill Mandy he will love it, we just have one at the moment but I think we need another as DH and the kids wont let me have a go!

Do you have any idea which particular wireless router would be best???

Most routers would do - Im looking at getting a small travel router for ease of carrying.

The apple airport express is a nice one, but it's rather expensive for what it is, so i think I'll just have a look on amazon.

One thing to remember though is that you will need to configure the router from a normal pc first because you normally have to connect through a cable the first time, which of course you cant do from an iPad

If I remember rightly Wayne (WayneG) uses a wireless router when he is in Orlando so he might have some ideas of what to get.

We are thinking of either bringing an old net gear one that we have or maybe ordering one on line to have shipped to the resort!

Maybe as David said Wayne will be along soon to let us know what he uses!

At least with the wireless router we can use our Iphones whilst the kids use the Ipad :)
