Did Anyone Else See This EMail from USAirways re:Free Dining?

I usually just delete these e-mails and for some reason I took a look and here is what I read:

Disney's Dining Plan for FREE!

I called because I thought that surely this was referring to the Free Dining that we all know about being offered at the end of the summer.

But when called and I asked, I was told, and the agent asked her supervisor, that the Free Dining that they are offering is for ANY trip booked until June 24th. NOT taken by June 24th, but BOOKED by June 24th!

I am still a little leery since I know that mistakes are made, but if this is correct, this would be great for those of us wanting to make last minute plans (like we might) for this summer.

I know Knox, and I mentioned that to the agent. But her information said that Free Dining was being offered for anyone who booked MYW until June 24th. I thought that perhaps that travel had to take place by June 24th, but she said no, it had to be BOOKED by the 24th.

I am still not convinced, but I know that I will definitely be looking into this.

Southwest is offering the same promotion but it states book by June 24 for travel between August 26 - September 22. I am sure that the agent made a mistake, but you never know.

Beth, I'm guessing that the agent you spoke with made a mistake. The booking date has to be by 6/24, but the TRAVEL dates have to fall between 8/26-9/22 for arrival. I think she may not have looked at the travel window, but instead just looked at the book by date.

Just got off the phone with them. It's a mistake. Free dining only for travel between 8/26-9/22. Their advertising department is aware of the problem.

Darn. Hoping for an October trip.

But you see the problem IS that it was not only the agent that was in error. It is the email and the website too. In neither of these places does it mention that the Free Dining is only available August 26 to September 22.

I know that if something sounds too good to be true that it usually is, but I was one who thought that after the first time, Free Dining would never be repeated, and I was wrong there.

So it would have been be foolish for me not to investigate things further.

Sorry to get anyone's hopes up. But I did my best to get good information.
