I loved the original . . .we rented Santa Clause 2 over the weekend and I have to say that it just wasn't the same.

I was expecting it to be good but was very disappointed with the turn out.

Anyone else?

DH fell asleep . . .!:earseek:

We have not seen it - yet.

Just curious, is it a children's movie?? My DS9 has asked if we could see it but I'm kind of leary. I would hate to rent somethng which would spoil the secrets of Christmas.

Yes, its a movie for children . . .

Have you seen the 1st one? The Santa Clause? It really makes doubters believe . . .its actually very good . . .

I thought it was OK. The first one was so much better.

We purchased it and then watched it. I didn't dislike it, but it could never compare to the magic and fun of the first one.

I couldn't believe how big Charile was!

I guess it would depend on the child. I brought my kids to see that in the theatre last year, and both were bored stiff. We ended up walking out of the theatre - that is a first for us, both of my kids have been good movie-goer's since they were tiny.

Not yet....I know a 9 year old who could use just a little push to continue believing.;) Thanks.

While I do agree that it did not capture the magic of the original (which would be impossible, as it's a classic) I really enjoyed it. We saw it in the theater and bought it on DVD. Both of my kids like it too, they are 7 and 10. I just can't get enough Tim Allen and we thought Chet was a hoot!!!

I guess I'm in the minority, but I actually liked it much better than the first.

I took my dd to the theater to see it last year. She was 3.5 and liked it.

I liked it!!
I want to be Mrs. Santa Claus!! ;)

Saw it at the theater and bought it the day it came out.

I really wasn't that fond of Santa Clause 2. I didn't like it nearly as much as the original.

I personally can not stand Spencer Breslin (Curtis the Elf). I just really wanna smack that kid. Something about that "nah nah" attitude of his :)

Like many of the posters, I didn't like it either.

Okay, so I'll join the minority here.

True, I don't know that it was as good as the first one but it's still very enjoyable.

I STILL crack up at the last line as "Santa" rides off, "There's nothing wrong with a straight line, Chet!!!"

Well, I'm amused. ::yes::

Come to think of it, I'm not that sure I was all that nuts about the first one, at first. I kind of grew on me. Maybe that'll happen for some of you on this one???

I thought the first Santa Clause was just ok but I really disliked the second one. I couldn't wait for it to end.
