Did anyone else get Raglan Road cancelled on them for St. Patrick's Day?

I got a call from Disney Dining the other day cancelling my reservation at Raglan Road on St. Patrick's Day. They said they made a mistake and Raglan Road isn't taking reservations that day. All I got was an "I'm sorry. Can we make another reservation for you?" Not right for those of us that planned early!

There was another thread on this earlier this week from another unhappy disser.

St Pat's day at an Irish bar; Ragland Road is going to have a live band and wants to sell drinks, not food. The place will be packed with heavy drinkers all day.

I do understand why Ragland Road is doing this but I don't understand why there was this miscommunication between them and WDW (the restaurant is not owned by Disney).

Hopefully you will get something else good for your St Pat's meal.

We ate at Raglan Road on our last trip in August....if you can do it, you should try to rebook for another day. It is a really nice spot and I loved the food!

I ... and Raglan Road isn't taking reservations that day. All I got was an "I'm sorry. Can we make another reservation for you?" !
But could they make an alternate reservation at the same time at any place of your choice?

What else did you want? No, it's not great that you don't have a reservation for that evening but it's only January 7th right now so there's plenty of time to make alternative arraignments which Disney was willing to help with. Not quite sure what you were looking for. If Raglan Road isn't taking reservations for that day, then it's first come first served and you can still go, correct? It was a mistake on Disney's part but at least you know about it now and not on March 16th.

We also got the cancellation call. And I was very upset. We have spent other St Patrick's Day's there with a reservation and we had a blast. They had face painting for kids, which our youngest daughter did, they had the irish dancers, and the band. So that is why we booked it again for this year. To make sure that we could get in, as March 17th is the day we will be traveling to WDW. And we made our reservations as soon as we could.

Yes, I am thankful that they called now to let us know so we could make other arrangements but they should have known about this before letting people make the reservations in the first place. So, because of this fact, we are going to bypass going to Raglan Road at all. I don't find it appealling to pay a $10 cover fee to get in with hordes of other people trying to get in to be crammed in a small bar area and only order drinks.

We have eaten at Raglan Road several times over the last few years. The first couple times it was excellent and the last few times it has not been very good at all. So we were going to give the place one more chance. But because of this, I don't see us going there again any time in the near future.

That is too bad, and I'm not affected by it but just my two cents is that they have probably found that people don't leave on St. Patrick's Day. They make a reservation and sit there for HOURS! And you don't have a reservation, you have an ADR. Which means the next available table, which might NEVER happen on St. Patrick's Day. On any other day, people come in they eat and move on. But I know I'd be there for 3....4....10....hours :drinking1

So, it would be worse to think you have an ADR and that table never become available. I personally would still do the $10 cover if I were there, but I love my Irish bars on any day of the year
