Did anyone else buy scrap supplies from QVC?

I never bought a great deal but occasionally they would have kits that were a great value. I belong to another board and they were discussing how scrapbooking isn't making as much money so places like QVC cut back shows and stores will start cutting back their selection. Anyone else heard something like this or think this may be the case. I am fairly new to the hobby and do most of my stuff digitally but I like the traditional methods and supplies and would hate for places to reduce their selections.

I don't because I need to see it in person. you know how something could look one way on TV and completely different in person? I've got to see it first.

I don't think scrapping is going to go away but I do feel that it is tapering off, especially in the current financial position most Americans are in. Sadly I think the specialty stores will close and what you can find will be online or at the big box stores like Michael's.

I have... I like the value but occassionally it is too much of the same thing. I bought more when I first starting scraping.

I have bought some stuff. I bought a memory box kit. I came with an album paper frames accents stickers. For what I paid it was a good deal, but there are plenty of duplicated stickers (3 of each sheet for new home, thanksgiving and birthday but with quotes and stuff) I try not to use the same stuff all the time.

I haven't bought any from QVC although I have purchased other things from them and been satisfied. I agree with the assessment that the hobby industry has moved on from scrapbooking - independant retailers are disappearing in droves, and I believe it's only a matter of time before the big box stores cut back in that area as well. I think Memory Makers will be the next scrapbook magazine to disappear. It's an unfortunate trend, because then serious scrappers who continue to work in paper will have to go back to hunting for supplies.

I don't think they'll be getting rid of scrapping any time soon. Today they have a special "summer scrap-a-ton" on QVC's site, and they are having a scrap day soon, I think in August.

I bought some of this as well. One pack for me and one to give to DD as a gift as she has just started scrapping. I think it has something to do with her having a baby a year ago.
