This was when I booked our holiday (think it was about 20/1 to be exact).
I was talking with a guy in work today about holiday prices and stuff, and it got me thinking about my booking, and the invoice I received from Virgin. The sale was advertised as 10% off for booking online (I think...), but the breakdown of the cost of my holiday was;
Adult Price 2 £759 £1518 (total)
Fuel Surcharge 2 £60 £ 120
Govt Environmental tax 2 £20 £ 40
Price adjustment 1 -£810 -£810
Sales discount 1 £35.40 £ 35.40
Total: £832.60
Not that im complaining (!!) but has anyone ever had anything like this 'price adjustment' before?! With this, we have basically received our holiday for half price! But, I dont know why
I thought it might have been because it is 1 adult and 1 child, and so maybe they werent charging me for my DS, but I know now this isnt the case. I've checked for other dates, and there is no mention of a 'price adjustment'.
It's bugging me a bit, but only insofar as I would like to know how I got it, so I can try to get the same deal for our holiday next year
Im a little apprehensive about phoning Virgin about it, just in case they say 'ooops sorry that was an error, you owe us £810'.
Any ideas anyone?
