Dictionary Dancing on the DIS and other DIS Board Guidelines

Dictionary Dancing in posts on the DIS is not allowed. Please do not use . # * or variations of words to get around the DIS word filter.

If you can not use a word in VMK chances are it is not allowed here on the DIS as well. So do not use VMK speak to get around DIS filters either.

If you do you risk your right to be posting here on the DIS.

2. NO PROFANITY: Profanity has no place on these boards. The boards are equipped with censoring software and will not permit messages containing inappropriate language to be posted. Profanity includes attempts to bypass the built in filter that these boards contain to avoid such words. Anyone found trying to bypass the filter will have their posting privileges revoked. Further, profanity includes suggestive or inappropriate photos. This is a family site, and other sites exist that contain more lenient guidelines regarding such matters. .

This has been happening alot more lately and I felt everyone needed a reminder.

yes.

Not sure why this concept is hard to understand. It is against the rules in VMK and it is against the DIS board guidelines also.

It does not matter if you say it or you are repeating what someone else has said.

so a filter on the boards............... i never knew we had one. so, is there a thread i can check to see what types of words are flitered out (no i don't want a list of the words, i don't have a bad mind)???? cause i've seen people curse a few times (and i may have said some risky things myself), but i don't think they were ever erased from posts.....................
