I called CRO this morning to change my ressies from ASMo to CBR and talked to the NICEST CM-her name was Gretel.ANYWAYS,she told me that August 1 was when the discounts would be available and they work like this:
Value resorts-20% off
Moderate resorts-35% off
Deluxe resorts-40% off
So if my math is correct the CBR should be somewhere around 86.00 plus tax when I go in December!Right now I have a rate of 118.00 w/tax with AAA discount and she said when the codes become available just call them back and they will change the rates on my ressies!
Hope this helps!I'm still going to be looking Monday morning though just to be sure I don't miss anything!

Good news! I sure hope this CM is right because those are great discounts! :D

Me too!She was reading it right from her screen so lets hope it's true!

ohhh I can't take it anymore!!
I already have ASMO thru disney club for November for 20%, so I guess no deal for me there hey!
I have the other part of our stay booked at POFQ thru Disney Club for the 20% off as well- I think it's around 118.00 per night-does this sound right?? I guess if the CM is right I can change and get a room rate of 86.00.
Were these Disney club discounts you heard about or just regular codes?
Thanks for the help!

:D

Regular discounts!Pretty good huh?I can't wait!!!!

The value resorts discounts don't sound so great. :(

Almost seems as if they are trying to "empty" them out.
There won't be much of a difference between the All Stars and the Moderates.

We were really hoping for about 30 - 40% off for All Stars.

I guess we will wait and see.:D

I just wanted to know what to ask for! You know how they don't volunteer info.

What dates are these discounts good for? Are they just for Aug. thru Dec. 30. or are they good for January?
Thanks,
Wendi

if the discounts will be for this year only? do you think I have a chance for Feb dates?

oops! guess me and Wendi are on the "same" page! lol

Thanks for the update! I'm a little disappointed that the value resorts are only 20% off because I already have that with Disney Club. I'm still hoping for a better AP rate! Sound like good discounts for the moderates and deluxes, though.

I believe that these discounts will be for 10/2 - 12/25. At least, that's what has been reported previously. Who really knows until we really see something, though.

I hope that this is true. We are planning to be at the Poly for 5 days in October. It would be wonderful if we could get a discount of 40%. I have my fingers and toes crossed and I am wishing for pixie dust for everyone.

Is the discount based upon the lowest rate for that season? If we were visiting during value season would the rate be 40% off o the VS rate? We have ressies at the WL for December, so I'm interested in what the discount may be.
Has Disney historically offered these rates? Every year?
Just wondering....
Thanks in Advance for Any Informaton.

Wow, I can't wait until next week, hopefully, when the new codes come out..... I have ressies at CBR and maybe, just maybe, they will apply to my stay! That would be AWESOME!! and more money for me to spend!!!

waiting patiently, patiently waiting.... ohmigod I CAN'T WAIT!!!!:p

I'll try to answer the questions to the best of MY knowledge.
The rates are % off the standard rates for the season which for most hotels is Value Season.
I simply asked if she knew of any upcoming discounts and she immediately recited these quotes to me.I even asked her how it would work with my AAA discount and she said that with AAA I was getting 20% off so when the new codes come out I would be getting an additional 15% off of the rate I have now(they will eliminate my AAA and put in new code). She went over that a couple of times with me.Again, she said this is of August 1st.
If you take 20% the Value resort rates your looking at about 65.00 plus tax(or a little more)-if I figured it right which is pretty good but I have seen and gotten better so hopefully that will be different.
The rates were good until December 25th I think.
She definately seemed to know what she was talking about and never hesitated or questioned anything she was telling me.
Keep those fingers crossed!

Now that I think about it, I've never liked the DC (WDTC) policy of having to pay in full before you arrive. If I can change over to a discount code through CRO and not have to pay in full until I arrive, I'll definitely do that. I think CRO offers a better cancellation/change policy, too.

When discount rates do finally come out, who should I call to change my $118 rate for POFQ for November? This is a Disney Club rate. Would you call CRO first to get new ressie, or call the Disney Club number to have them adjust the existing ressie?

I have no faith in Disney Club. If it were me I would call CRO and get a new ressie...you will have to put down a new deposit though. Then I would called DC back and cancel my ressie. The cancellation and payment policy at CRO is so much better than DC. If you can swing the extra deposit, that is what I would do.

I'm not exactly sure how that works but personally I would just call CRO and make new ressies then call DC and cancel the old ones.I would assume DC is seperate from CRO and might not be able to give the same discounts.Correct me if I'm wrong!
I do know from working as a travel agent for some time that you should NEVER cancel one reservation before booking the next-availability changes in seconds.
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!
Kim

I just got off the phone w/ Alexandra at WDTC-she told me if any codes come out they can be applied to your current Disney Club res. as long as there is availability at that resort:Pinkbounc

Hmmm.... Isn't August when the next Mickey Monitor comes out? (newsletter for Passholders that includes discount information). I'm pretty sure I got my last one in May and it's four times a year.

I'm still keeping my eye on the boards every day between now and then!
