Diary of some resort-hopping Disney newbies!

[DISUNC]

I stopped by the guest services window near the front entrance and ask about the luggage transfer and they tell me someone needs to be in the room (I think to myself, "Self? What's the point of having someone stick around? I could just move it myself! Heck!"). I told the CM that we were heading out now to AK and wouldn't be back until about 1-2pm at the earliest. She was kind enough to go ahead and set it up for transfer but recommended we leave the luggage inside the room. ....

Never resort hopped...but that dont make any sense at all!

Apparently, some guests decide to leave their luggage *outside* of the rooms for all to see (and pick through?).....

we head for the Rainforest Cafe to use the park entrance there

I manage to get the line with someone feeding eleventy tickets into the FP machine

UGH! I hate when that happens!

when that stinkbug shows up and the stinkbug "spray" comes out, ooof! P U! I could have definitely done w/o that! Then comes the scene with the hornets (I think it was hornets) and we get "stung" in the back (a little hole in the back of the seat that something pokes you through) and Hannah complains that it hurt her back). Finally the show's over and the bugs leave the screen (and you feel them under your butt/legs as they crawl "through" the seats to leave...that was neat).

How many little kids "LOST IT" when this happened?

I manage to spill a good-sized amount onto the front of my shorts. And, yes, it sure as heck looked like I had myself an "accident"! ).

Yeeeeaaaaah right, Ice cream!

We head over to the bus stop and wait for the POFQ bus and relish the A/C it offers. And, of course, the bus driver decides to give us another tour of POR instead of the usual dropping off at POFQ first. Joy! I wanted to see it again (all four stops and the rumble strips)! We finally get to POFQ and head on off to the pool (can't wait to jump in the water!)

I am confused (nutin new!) if you were transfering to YC, why didja go back to POFQ????

I know what Hannah means about the hornets at ITTBAB. I don't think I'll ever go on it again. Hannah and I must have been sitting in just the right spot to get nailed on the spine. Youch!
Glad you rode Kali. I think it's pretty great.

Great TR! Sorry about Hannah's back. How was the bug show-- I had heard it was a little scary & gross. I HATE bugs so I'm not sure I'd be happy with that feeling at the end. My dd1 pink & tigers too so she would've loved that shirt. Glad you had fun.

Lucky! We missed the "walking tree" and also the living statue in Italy. I was so bummed. Sounds like you and Hannah are having a great time so far!

Ok my goal for this weekend it to catch up on all my fellow limeys trs. Yours is great so far. I am loving it. I sat and looked at the slideshow of your pics. Hannah is quite the poser. She is so cute. I love to see her get into picture taking. Now daddy doesn't make her pose does he? I do for my kids. LOL I'm a mean mom. By the end of our trip my kids were saying cheese before I could turn on the camera. Got them trained now. I do have to say I love the same muppets as you do. Beeker is a trip. I love him in muppets christmas carol. My favorite is when he flips off scrooge. LOL Thanks for sharing all the pics. I love looking at other people's vacation pics. Guess I need a life.... Can't wait to read more.

This place (and TGM) made a newbie trip feel like a time-worn tradition
