Diapers on dogs

What type do you need? Is it for a male or female? I know of someone with a male who uses belly bands for him as he has incontinence issues.

Yeah-more info needed-are you dealing with an incontinence issue or or a female in season. For the later '***** panties" are effective if you need to go out and about or if she is in standing heat and you have issues with the mess. Otherwise she should keep herself clean. Belly bands are good for male dogs with issues holding their bladder.

Female dog - 14 years old. Piddles in middle of night if I don't get up in middle of night to let her out. I think she sometimes just doesn't realize she is doing it.

I bought a cute purple one with ruffles on it on Etsy.
It uses mini or maxi pads depending on what kind of protection she needs.

My poor baby hates it but it does the trick.

Exactly what I used to do for my 16-yo furgirl. She had two "panties", pink and purple, so one was always being washed, and I stuck the overnight-absorbency pads in there. I guess she appreciated it--usually she wet them within one hour! Anyway, it was a lot cheaper than the actual doggy disposable diapers with the tailhole in them--they were quite pricy! :headache: I sure miss her.....

We used diapers on our dog. First time we bought doggy diapers but after that we used baby diapers and cut a hole for her tail. We had to use safety pins as the adhesive strips weren't strong enough. The diapers worked great. We used them for about a year.

Where is she doing it? If it's on her bed then you could just get a big flat absorbency pad that is normally used to protect chairs and beds for people with incontinence. I have a customer who does this for her dog and it works quite well without being annoying for the dog. You can get them at pharmacies with the incontinence supplies.
