Diamond Horseshoe?

I just noticed this restaurant on All Ears. Is it new? Or have I just ignored it because I never hear anything about it? We need a place that will offer us a nice, light lunch, as we have an early ADR at Yachtsman that night. Anyone know if this will fit the bill

this place is just open seasonally for "overflow" dining crowds...not a regularly operating restaurant - so unless you're going to be there during free dining or very busy holidays it probably won't be open. Believe for lunch it offers a limited sandwich menu.


At dinner it's serving the same meal as Liberty Tree Tavern's dinner (the family-style turkey dinner)

Way back in the day, this was the place for the "Diamond Horseshoe Revue" sit-down meal & show. We loved watching the show & the can-can dancers. (Sing it with me if you know the words: You can do the can-can...) Sadly, as the PP said, it's mostly used as an overflow restaurant or non-food character spot now.

2) I was even in the show !
3) I really enjoyed that place.
4) Now, it is just an AVERAGE eatery.
5) What a pity.

We ate there in Nov. '09. We were trying to find Pecos Bills and thought the Horseshoe must've taken PB's place. And we were wondering why? Because it's not nearly as good as PB's. LOL. Then we walked a little farther and were relieved to see PBs, alas too late for lunch. The food at the Horseshoe was okay, seem to remember the sandwiches were on par with a high school cafeteria sandwich.

My advice, walk a little farther down and eat at Pecos Bills.
