Diamond Horseshoe?

I was noodling around on the WDW reservations site, and it suggested the Diamond Horseshoe as an alternative to LTT. Looks like it's open seasonally and has the same menu as LTT. I booked it because I could get in much earlier than at LTT, but I"m wondering if anyone knows anything about this place? Is it a decent atmosphere?

It is a nice atmosphere. It's always nice to have a sit down meal in the hectic Magic Kingdom. The food is exactly the same as LTT. There are no characters there-not sure if that affects your decision. The room has an "old western" feel to it. There is a red-curtained stage in the back of the room, and staircases that lead up to a second level (though no one sits up there).

We had lunch there Thursday, and people do go upstairs to sit then. (Maybe they just don't seat people there during dinner?) Since lunch is counter service, the OP's question completely threw me...I had no idea they had table service there at night!

According to the website, it's CS for lunch, but TS for dinner, and only open August-October 3. I confirmed the menu on the phone.

Now, my only worry would be that the food could be prepared at at LTT and shipped over to Diamond Horseshoe, but the reservation guy says that isn't the case.

I'm glad to have gotten an earlier dinner; I just hope I haven't made a mistake!

I'm just mildly grossed out by the idea of food being prepared in huge batches and shipped to a different location for serving. Doesn't exactly scream "quality dining" to me. Smacks more of "expensive cafeteria food." YMMV.
