Park News - (9/1/04) Goofy’s Counrty Dancin Jamboree will close after Sept. 4th though the Diamond Horseshoe will still continue to have a Meet & Greet with Woody, Bullseye and Jesse.

Cool- this will be better for my family. Last year, DS was 2 1/2 and cried b/c he couldn't hug Woody during the show. We were in the middle of the floor right next to the characters. We had to take him out of the show. All we heard the rest of the day was "I want to hug Woody". So, he did the next day at MGM, but it will make MK better for us!princess:

I agree, and the worst part was it replaced a pretty decent show for all ages.

I was so disappointed in the new show that took over from the Horseshoe Review. The Review might not have been the very best show in the World but it was pleasant and gave us a chance to rest and even get a bite to eat. The new show is really only visable to a few people in the audience or up on the balcony.

Just what we need, more character greets and fewer attractions? Say it ain't so.

Slightly Goofy

I laughed so hard during one at show at "The Diamond Horseshoe Review" that I could not talk, could not hold the video camera, and had tears running down my face. The review earned it's title of "diamond".

Sadly, I never saw either. I was hoping to catch it this trip in October. Any rumor on when it will re-open??

My poor 6 yr old dd is really in the "minors" here. The poor kid is not a "thrill" ride kinda kid. The only thing she likes in MK is Small World (lucky for me I've been on it countless times), so when that closed for refurbishment she was totally bummed and since our last trip she has been nagging me to go to that "Goofy Jamboree" show next time, another disappointment for her. Guess the MK is not so magical for her anymore:(

Yeah, I tend to agree my eardrums were going to break when that lady kept singing and yelling but anything that makes my dd happy, makes me happy. Surprised to see they're pulling a new show so quickly, this hasn't been opened that long, guess it wasn't too popular?

Well, there were those who told us we needed to wait and see on this show, rather than say replacing the Revue with it was a bad idea.

Guess we can stop waiting and seeing now.

Well what in the wide wide world of sports is a going on here? First they take out the dancing girls from the show, then they do away with the whole Diamond Horshoe Review. I wasn't happy when I heard that news. Our family had so many good memories with that show! Any chance they will bring it back? When ds was just a little guy, one of the girls smiled and waved at him--it was so much fun to see him quickly pull of those mickey mouse ears! Then two years ago the singing cowboy lead the hall in "Happy Birthday" for my dd who turned 4. Now we are going again at the end of October but no cowboy show.

I remember going to City Hall to get those prescious reservations since it was always filled to capacity.

I'll be the first to admit I'm a member of the "wait & see" crowd and this show will not change my attitude. Right after I saw the new show I posted here that it sucked. Not only sucked, I thought it was dangerous because little kids- 2,3 yrs olds - were being pushed into the action by moms & dads with cameras and nearly getting kicked or trampled by costumed charactors with poor vision.

Goofy's Country Dance: Been there, done that, AINT going back.

We took our boys last year. I didn't know it had changed. It was a never again thing. I felt like some kid was going to get hurt.

The show could have been better but I loved Goofy in his western garb! Woulod like to see them do something that would get him seen again in there!
