I thought I read that they have added a dinner buffet at the Diamond Horseshoe during the Free DDP promo. Does anyone know anything about this and what kind of food it is? Just curious!
No, it is not a buffet for dinner. It is the exact same "thanksgiving" style meal they serve at Liberty Tree Tavern...pork loin (looks & tastes like ham), turkey (tastes like turkey roast) and beef (tastes like roast beef); stuffing, seasonal vegetable (was green beans last September during free dining), rolls, salad, stouffer's mac & cheese, and a cobbler-ala-mode for dessert. It is served family-style (meaning they bring a platter of food to your table) and you can have more of anything you want. There is no menu at dinner, you just get served the above. It comes straight from the Liberty Tree kitchen and is served by Liberty Tree servers (last year they had the same costumes on...don't know about this year.)
At lunch time, they operate as a counter service with a few kinds of sandwiches offered.
The other seasonal table service at the Magic Kingdom is a buffet - but that's at the Tomorrowland Terrace (Noodle Station place) Think that one is only open specific nights, though.
