I will be calling the garage tomorrow, but in the meantime, was wondering if any of you may have experienced a similar problem that I am having with my car.

It was working just fine. I left a little while ago to go pick up dinner, and noticed that something didn't feel quite right, like it didn't want to get going, then all of a sudden it would jerk, and start driving normally. Then, I noticed the spedomter wasn't working. I was going at least 30 mph, and it was still at 0. Then, I noticed the gas gauge isn't working either, I swear it was at about 3/4, and now it is showing that its full. Then, once I noticed all of that, the "service engine soon" light came on.

Any idea what may be going on? I'm hoping it's something simple like a sensor or an electical thing. This really just came out of the blue, we were having no problems at all.

Any idea?

What year and make car do you have? My DH is a service advisor and might be able to help. One thing you want to check for sure is the battery wires, to make sure you don't have a loose connection wire.

It's a Dodge Caravan, 1999.

It's got about 108,000 miles, which have mainly been problem free.

Thanks!

Check the connection wires on the battery first. It might be the battery itself, how old is the one you have in there? You might just need a new battery.
