Diabetes and Jonas Brothers: doing something good

Many parents and most young people are aware of the Jonas brothers, but you may not be aware that one of the Jonas brothers is a type 1 diabetic. They recently announced a partnership with Bayer having to do with diabetes and the started a foundation and a website encouraging kids to actively manage their diabetes.

If your child has type 1 you are probably quite aware - especially if that child is a girl - LOL! The Jonas Bros. are a big thing on the diabetes lists that I read. I have boys so they aren't so into them but I think they still find their story interesting.

They have done a great service to the type 1 community by the positive message.

I have two DDs so I am well versed in all things Jonas!! I am really pleased with all that Nick Jonas has done to raise awareness. Nick and his brothers are doing a really good thing.

Diabetes is a disease that gets very little attention and if this band can help bring it into the spotlight - I'm all for it!!
