Di & Rhiannon's trip day 3

Tuesday 8th November

As we were leaving the hotel we spotted Tigger in the lobby so queued up to have our photos taken with him. Then we walked to the park through the Village. It was an exceptionally beautiful day – the sun was really bright and everything looked wonderful. We had our usual GMF brekkie and then met Minnie in her lovely red fur-trimmed Christmas costume – this was an official queue near the Storybook Store. We’d decided to try to find some of the “ secrets” this time and for the first time noticed the moustache on the window of Dapper Dan’s

- a definite improvement, I’m sure you’ll agree!!!!
We queued up to meet Sleeping Beauty outside the castle - another official meet ‘n’ greet which is a huge improvement on the usual scrum!!

Then queued yet again – this time to meet Winnie the Pooh

We were stopped in Central Plaza by a CM who was collecting the names and email addresses of guests to be contacted for surveys to help DLP improve its service. We will certainly mention our preference for organised queues to meet characters!!
We went on Casey Jnr and BTM before visiting a few more shops!!! I’d started taking photos of the Christmas decorations etc in various shops, restaurants etc for my quiz next month – some easy, some – er, how shall I put this? - slightly more difficult!!!!! Hee! Hee!!
We had lunch at the Market Street Deli and it was so warm that we sat outside to eat – it was beautiful – I’d even had to take my coat off earlier on! It was quite funny when it started to “snow” in what must have been at least 15 degrees!! As we sat there we heard the piano lesson from a nearby window and thought of Reid’s quiz question last month!!
After lunch we went on Pinocchio, Snow White, IASW again (!) and then went to watch the legend of the Lion King show in Videopolis. Then PotC and paid a call on the dragon under the castle which we hadn’t done for a while. Then to Phantom Manor and BTM again – we love it when it’s dark and the park’s all lit up – really beautiful!
As we were walking towards the exit we saw that Santa was in his sleigh in Town Square and there was no queue so we went to have our photos taken with him. Amazingly he told Rhiannon to sit beside him and asked me to sit on his knee!!! So I’m sorry to say, boys and girls, that Santa will be a bit late this year as he now has a broken leg!!!

We went to the Rainforest Café for drinkies – Rhiannon is trying to work her way through every cocktail known to man!!! Then a lovely – and enormous - meal at Annette’s before going back to the hotel to bed after another exhausting but wonderful day!!

Di, Another great day, I am going to get my daughter to read it - we are hatching plans to have a joint 40th/16th birthday celebration at DLRP and have been unsure about how it would be, with just the two of us. But now I know - it would be fantastic!!!!

You met so many characters! I always feel a bit silly if I try to get my photo with any characters, hehe.

Oh do go ahead and get some Emma!! That's what the characters expect!! I have to admit, sad though it undoubtedly is at my age, that getting photos with the characters is one of the things I most enjoy - and they do make great memories!! We have 14 character photos from this holiday (and there were a lot more we would have got if there hadn't been so many random kids around and no queuing system!)

I am going to try and see how many photos I can get with characters this holiday. It is this trips challenge. My husband thinks I am completely mad.
I havent shown him this trips t.shirts yet. he and the children have t.shirts , I have a sweatshirt so i can get more use out of it .We have a trip theme at the top and a character each in the middle. I will post photos on our return.
