At Rope Drop, the CMs direct guests to enter via the "Rope Drop Path" thru the Animation archway.

What is the "rope drop path" ? Is that for just in the morning? Will they funnel you that way?

What if we are already in the park for breakfast, is there a rope there, to stand at?

1- Yes.
2- Yes.
3- You'll have to come out to join the rest of those waiting at the same ropes.

Unlike at the other parks, the early ADR restaurant at DHS
(Hollywood and Vine) is (basically)
"behind" the Rope Drop area.

On many mornings, guests (B) are held for Rope Drop near the HAT (#2)
before being released into the park at opening time (Regular or AM EMH.)

First of all, it was funny that Pluto and Goofy were standing off by themselves with no one stopping to get a picture.

After you go thru the PIXAR entrance you want to be hugging the right hand side if you want to get on the FP line. I overran it last month and its frustraing that the line is growing further away at every second.

so unlike the MK - at DHS they let you 'into' the park and have the rope drop in front of the hat?

Is there any benefit to getting and ADR for breakfast and getting to the park early?

We usually eat and finish so we can be right up front for RD.....

is this not a good plan?

1- Yes.
2- Or, up the street from the hat. It varies where they hold guests.
3- Not so much at DHS.
4- You may not get to be "right up front" unless you finish dining and are out the door by, say, 20 minutes before the scheduled park opening time.
If you can comfortably do that, then, have at it.
