DHS Ropedrop

We are arriving at Disney tomorrow evening. We are headed to DHS when our plane arrives to just use our 3 fast passes, and plan on ridding SDD standby right before park close.

We also are going to DHS for the mornings of March 12th and the 14th to try and get on ROTR before hoping over to other parks. We have MMRR, TOT, RnRC fast passes. We were also given an anytime FP for TSM each of those days due to the computer glitch issues that happened a few weeks ago.

My question is what is the best strategy for rope drop now that MMRR is open? We would like to try and get on SDD both mornings when we go. Would rope drop be our best option, or should we wait untill early afternoon and ride the other attrictions standby a few times before our fastpass times? Is SDD less crazy at rope drop now that Star Wars and MMRR is open? What time would you suggest we get to the park to do SDD for rope drop without it being an hour plus wait?

Thanks so much! Any advice, or experiences since MMRR has opened and how it affects rope drop would be appreciated.

We got to HS at 6am on 3/5 and again on 3/8. We rope dropped SDD the first day and MFSR the second time. Both days it seemed most people went to MMRR. We were on the first train at SDD and headed straight to TSMM when we got off. Maybe a 15 minute wait there. But as soon as we got off SDD the line was really long and we couldn't see the end of it anymore and that was at like 8:05am.

Realistically I think on both of our days we could have arrived as late as 6:30am and gotten on a ride in under 30 minutes at rope drop. But the rope drop lines for everything get crazy fast since everyone is in the park trying to get a Boarding Group. (We got 16 and 3 BTW and the ride is awesome).

The CM's at SDD on 3/5 did say the rope drop crowd was less than usual. At least right at 7am when they let us back there to line up.

Still trying to figure out how this all works with trying to RD MMRR, which sounds like it opens before official opening and still get a BG for RoTR.
