DHS Question- Opening Ride Choice?

Hey everybody-
First of all, Happy (Belated) Independence Day!

I'm going to be in Disney in exactly one week (yes!!!), and I haven't been since the opening of Toy Story Mania at DHS (or MGM as I will forever call it...). I was wondering, with Toy Story Mania open, especially because it just opened, should we head there first thing in the morning, or should we still do the Tower/Rock'n'Rollercoster Fastpass tradeoff?? Any help here is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think I would head over to Toy Story Mania first thing, since it is new and many people will run over to the ride first thing. At least that's what I plan on doing when I go in Oct.

This is where we went on the 4th and we did toy story right off. Was a 20 minute wait by the time we got there and the lines to get a fast pass were almost longer. But the que is so cool for that ride 20-30 minutes is pretty pleasant and part of the experience.

I agree with the PP's who suggest doing TSM first thing. I was there the last week in June, and the lines at TSM build very quickly.

Also, if you want to get a FastPass for TSM, do so early as well. It wasn't uncommon for all FP's for the day to be gone by early afternoon.
