DHS scheduled for 11/14.
I'm trying to work out the evening portion of my itinerary and I am least familiar with this park.

I believe the park closes at 8 that night but I may be mistaken. I have an ADR at Mama Melrose's for 7 p.m.
I'm trying to fit in fantasmic as well as the Osborne lights.

I was thinking maybe doing the Osborne lights on the way out of the park but depending on how long it takes for dinner I really don't want to risk missing it. Is it near where we're having dinner? Should I see it on the way there? I am not sure when they start the lights.

What order do you guys think we should squeeze these things in? If it's at all helpful we are three adults traveling with a toddler. I have read the Fantasmic may be too scary, but for my son I don't think that will be a problem.

I had also thought about seeing The Muppet Show closer towards dinner in the evening so there's less of a line, what are your thoughts on that?

with a 7pm ADR you won't be seeing fantasmic at 8pm.
you most likely won't be done with your meal until then, plus its across the park, plus they let people in 30 minutes prior to the show and the seats fill up.

again with a 7pm ADR you won't be seeing the osborne family spectacle of dancing lights after your dinner as the park will be closing by the time you are done.
the osborne lights start at 6pm.

muppet vision 3D, the osborne lights, and mama melrose are all in the same area of the park.

i would see muppet vision 3D, then see the osborne lights, then head to your dinner reservation.

Am I missing a lot by skipping fantasmic?
We during if I should maybe move my ADR...

In my opinion, yes. See if you can get a Fantasmic Dining package (guaranteed the best seats in the house), that's what we're doing this trip. Now, our Mama Melrose ADR is for lunch, and 1st Fantasmic show, but we're ok with that. We'll catch Osborne about 45 minutes before park closing. We never miss Fantasmic, and often catch it twice on a trip! P. S. - I don't think it's too scary for your child, but each child is different, and you won't know until they see it. You could always exit the amphitheater if it's too much.
Well, just my $0.02. :thumbsup2

It depends whats available. I believe lunch at most ADR's is from 10:30 - 3:30, or so. Our ADR is 12:05.

How do you go to HS and not see Fantasmic? :confused3

In 10 trips to Disney in the past 5 years, we've seen Fantasmic exactly once. So, it's pretty easy to spend the day at DHS and not see Fantasmic.

Must be a love or hate thing. We can't go and NOT see Fantasmic. It's been a must-do family favorite for many years. We often get the park hopper option JUST so we can get to HS to see it. When you consider that, it means we find it worth the price of $55-60 per person.

I think I found a way to swing it all, thanks to a coworker with extensive Disney knowledge. (she's dvc)

Lights right at 6, dinner 630,then late fantasmic.
Not concerned with "good seats" as I think further back might be better for my toddler. Even missing the beginning will be ok with us.
Really it's about the fireworks. He LOVES fireworks!

Exactly. To me Hollywood Studios isn't exactly offering anything that makes it a must do park in any way shape or form. At least with Fantasmic it's like wow ok maybe Hollywood Studios isn't that bad.

I actually love the rides DHS has its the lack of them that is the concern. ToT, TSMM, RNRC, Star Tours, TGMR all great attractions in my book. That's why I have high hopes for the studios throw in Star Wars and Pixar and it may just become my favorite park.

simple.
if you don't care for it like me you don't bother seeing it.

Exactly what I was going to say lol. Seen it once and it was good but I don't need to see it everytime I go to DHS.

OP we are going to DHS 11/14 too! We will be there in the morning though, then back to the resort to rest and dinner at Cape May at 5:10pm and hope to see Osbourne after dinner. We should have time. Hope you get your plans figured out! :thumbsup2
