Mother nature obviously didn't read my plans and decided to rain on my parade tomorrow! Can anyone tell me what is closed in the rain or prepare me with tips! I would appreciate it!

I can't tell you what will or won't be open, but I can tell you that I have done DHS in the rain and had a blast. Have fun!

I think everything, except the backlot tour is covered. Even that is covered if you think about it (vehicles are covered - opened on the sides, though).

I'd think that the only thing that would be knocked out is Fantasmic.

We've run across Test Track closed, but I think it was because of lightning and not rain. We like DHS in the rain because not much closes since most of the rides are inside

Lights Motor Action would also be cancelled to protect the people who perform in the show on 1/2 real cars and motor cycles.
Possibly also Indian Jones and Backlot Tours.

Check this website about DHS rides and see which are covered or inside.

Don your rain poncho's and flip flops and have fun !

Does anyone know if the shows like beauty and the beast are on? How about the Honey I shrunk the kids play area? Is that covered?

Thanks!!

We were in the MK on Sat 10/8 when it poured, and I mean poured, all day long. Parades were cancelled etc. We knew it was going to be a horrible day weather-wise so we dressed accordingly (hats, shorts, flip flops), threw on our smiles and managed an awesome 13 hour day (rope drop to Wishes) with a 4 and 1 yr old. It was one of our most memorable days....lines were short on what otherwise would have been a very crowded day. If you have the right mindset, and I know it's hard believe me I don't like to get wet, you can have a great day in the rain :)

If its just raining (meaning no thunder/lightening), Backlot and Honey I Shrunk the Kids would be closed. Depending on the heaviness of the rain, Lights Motors Actions could get cancelled too. Also depending on the heaviness, Indiana Jones could do a modified show (meaning just the first scene with Indy and the ball).

In the rain we had last week (when it rained for 36 hours straight, ew), Lights Motors Actions actually ran a modified show, it wasn't completely cancelled.

If its thundering/lightening, thats a different story. That would completely cancel Lights!, and most likely Indy as well.

Other than that, everything else should be open. I say 'should' as sometimes things happen (ie, guests wont leave the exit area cuz its raining too hard, so we can't clear the loading area of the ride, so we have to stop loading guests). But that rarely happens, and as soon as the random downpours florida gets are done, we open back up :)
