We are trying to decide where we should eat lunch/early dinner at DHS. We did not hear good reviews on the 50's Prime Time Cafe which is where we originally planned on going. What do you guys think? Anyone have other suggestions of where we should eat?

We really liked the Prime-Time Cafe and thought the food was very good. Have also had good meals at Sci-Fi and think the theming is one of the best at WDW. Did the character meal a Hollywood & Vine a few years ago and thought it was just okay. There is also Mama Melrose - haven't been there but have seen good reviews. :)

We really enjoy 50s PT, but like all dining reviews, you have to go with what sounds good to you. I have read that some places were great that we didn't care for and others were awful that we enjoyed. Just my $.02

One of our favorite restaurants of all time is The Hollywood Brown Derby. It is fantastic, if you are on the dining plan it is 2 credits, but if you're not, it's not much more expensive than other places - if not on the dining plan I wouldn't order an appetizer or dessert anyway so it wouldn't be very expensive for the entree - plus they are big enough for sharing.

I haven't eaten at any other sit down restaurant in Studios, but we might try Sci-Fi on our next trip, the food just doesn't look very appealing anywhere but the Brown Derby to me...

We just went to 50's prime time and I was really looking forward to it, but I ended up being very disappointed. Our waitress wasn't very interactive, and our food came out about 3 minutes after ordering it and it was dry. I guess it kind of bothers me that at a table service place my food was probably plated before I even ordered it. The dessert was really good and the place was cute, but I was very disappointed with my over all experience. I do have a feeling that if I was seated somewhere else with a different server, it would have probably been better. But I figured I'd let you know my experience

The studios is our least favorite place to eat - but we did have a very good dinner at 50's prime time last trip. We also LOVE the brown derby but usually go for lunch, still a great menu with more reasonable prices.

50's Primetime usually gets pretty good reviews from what I've seen. We love it! It's definitely one of our very favorite restaurants in all of WDW!!!!!

As far as TS, I've only ever eaten at Sci-Fi but I love it for the theme! I think its one of the best themed places on property! We always go for luch because they have very good burgers and great shakes!

The only two Studio restaurants we care for are: Mama Melrose and 50's Prime Time. Sci-Fi is okay--but they've cut back their menu. We refuse to go to H&V after two bad experiences and Brown Derby was a let down for us and we don't think it worth the money or the table service credits to try again. However, every one has different tastes and opinions. I'd look at the menus and see which appeals to you the most and go for it.

We love the 50's cafe. Even though I do read other's peoples reviews of restaurants, I don't let it influence my decision...well, most of the time anyway. Everyone's tastes and preferences are so different! My DD, 8, LOVES the meatloaf at 50's cafe...can't hardly get her to eat it at home...but loves it there. :confused3 Anyway...go and give it a try! Make sure you try the Brownie Sundae! Yummy! I know I'll be having one in about two weeks!
