Boats will not be running to Epcot from any of the resorts.

That’s what I did in May going from mgm to Epcot. I took a bus to beach club and walked when the boats were down

Minor technicality, the boat dock is at the Yacht Club. More significant issue, its the Epcot boat dock that is closed so that wouldn't help anyway.

So I guess this means guests walking from the Epcot resorts don’t have to swing as far away from the canal, either, right? A tiny bit shorter walk for them? Can we tell yet whether they’ll always be routed via the bus walkway or will be able to continue along the canal further than they can now?

Once the new bus loop opens it should be a shorter walk than it is right now.

Its back to normal now.

Just to make sure I'm on the same page of what normal is...Does this mean the walkway that stays along the water is open again? Or has that changed at all?

Yes it is open again. It did change a tiny bit but that was just so it goes along the new bus stop. It is all along the water though not the long way anymore.
