I finally figured out how they came up with the word "expansion" when they talked about these new lands! DHS just lost several acres of land overnight, right? Well, now when SW Land and TS Land open up, they can say "Look how much the park is EXPANDING!" Never mind that it's just going back to its original size.

Not worried about walking, worried more about timing. But hey, if it only will take five minutes to get from one to another than I'm in the clear.

You should be fine... DHS is the smallest park and you're not going very far. I could probably walk it in 2 min walking at a mild pace unless the area is mobbed with too many people...

And THAT could be a serious problem for the next couple years!

I don't know about this - I think the attendance at DHS is going to drop significantly. We never spent a lot of time there, but are looking at maybe spending a few hours there arrival day and that's it, mostly to hopefully see the new fireworks. We've done all the shows a dozen or more times so can skip them all. 3-4 rides and the fireworks and we're gone. I'm sure we won't be the only ones.

I don't know why every thinks attendance is going to drop at DHS? They've closed down a handful of underperforming or unpopular shows. People don't go to Studios to see LMA and less of them go there with the intent of seeing SOA. None of the marquee attractions or 3 main shows are closing down. Studios will be fine and 98% of the general public won't even be concerned about whats going on in the back side of the park. We do, because we live this stuff, reading about it everyday and wondering what's next!?!?! The general public just wants to get on TSMM, ToT, ST, RRC and see Fantasmic. I'd argue the nighttime firework show will help even out the odds over time as well.

Name something that's closed in the last 1.5 years that were top 5 worthy. I don't think the general public knows or cares until they get there and see the walls and then at that point, they're just wondering how long they have to wait for TSMM.

Wait times actually went down at Epcot while Soarin has been closed. It is on average a couple of minutes. I'm only spending from 2- close on the DHS day of the trip. The morning and early afternoon I will be at Disney Springs.

1. Thats the most popular attraction at Epcot. Studios isn't closing down anything of that magnitude.
2. Epcot has 2 attractions that have a wait time. Mission Space gets a wait on the busiest of days. The other 5-6 rides are walk ons and not hugely popular.
3. TSMM, ToT or RcR closing down would be similar but alas, Studios also has Muppets, Star Tours, Great Movie Ride, Indiana Jones, Beauty & Fantasmic. So will see, but I don't think it'll change the numbers that much at the end of the day.

Epcot gets big waits at those other attractions because there isn't anything else to do.

It had a launch in the first peeve of concept art it just seems there might be two launches now.

Cool. I thought there was a plain lift hill in the original rendering due to that curve at the top of the lift hill. In the new rendering it looks like LIMs will shoot you into that new overbanked turn.

I agree, I don't see attendance dropping significantly. The park has been a mess for years and attendance has held steady or grown.

Now with all that Star Wars advertising that Disney is doing (rather misleading I think) if anything I expect attendance to increase.

I have been there 3 times this year and have yet to see a long wait on anything but Test Track. I think I saw Mission Space with a 40 min wait once and Space Ship Earth with 25 min wait. Epcot is for the ambiance, food and drink.

That's about how it was when I was there in January.

I'd love more attractions at Epcot and obviously that the weak spot for the park but I love walking around and drinking a beer. Its a beautiful park. World Showcase is fantastic. Soarin 2.0 will help and will see what this Frozen mess brings...

I just wish they would do something with the empty spots.

Agreed 100%. They don't even need to build new buildings... just put something inside them. It's very odd indeed. You'd think they'd put a lot more effort into the park since it has more opportunities for people to spend money than any other Disney Park I've been to. I'd stack future world with 3 - 4 more attractions and you'd see me have lunch, and drink some more. Now I just come after 4 - 5 pm just to hang out.

Imagination Pavilion: They have a 4d theater that could easily have a new film.. how about turning that pavilion into a Inside Out them. Inside Out Film.. and do a new Inside Out ride involving Figment...
Wonders of Life Pavillon: Anything.. Do something with this place. Something non- IP would be great as everything coming down the pipe is all IP based.
Universe of Energy Pavilion: I'd miss my nap time, but good lord seriously?
Test Track, The Land, Seas and Mission Space are fine. Mission Space could use a new movie or a randomization of movies like Star Wars.. Also wish it was as intense as it used to be when it opened.

Innovations needs to go. Off topic, but It really got the ticker going.
