We've all be assuming Pixar Place would close, but what if they've reconfigured things and are planning to keep the entrance to tsmm in the same location? Would that work with the renderings we're seeing, or are we still pretty convinced they're going to switch the entrance to the back side?

Couple things... the artwork clearly shows that Star Wars land will be next to Toy Story Land.. so looks like Indiana Jones is sticking around? Also, and maybe this has been discussed before so forgive me if so, but.... Will Midway Mania entrance be moved to the other side of the building to TS land? If so, what will happen to Pixar Place? Will that street be closed?
Pixar place street will be backstage now.

It does look like it, but I am always cautious about reading to much into concept art.

Right but, at this point, with no other announcements about what is going where, and SOA and LMA closing, it seems clear that that large of land will be used for something soon. That land is far large for them to close down unless they intend to start demo and construction soon. Unless they are announcing a 3rd land to go there soon, Star Wars land makes the most sense with the artwork almost confirming that.

I was in the park the other day. Outside of Catastrophe Canyon and the theater not much construction is going on. Much of the back lot still seems to be untouched. The only thing of interest was two men in Muppet Courtyard taking notes. They were pointing and measuring lighting fixtures so maybe they were contractors of some sort.

I was there on Friday - I snooped around a bit and was interested in the fact that the Backlot tour has been closed for a year and a half, but the vehicles from movies were still right next to LMA, untouched.

A lot of people are being hesitant on the artwork right now. Concept art never depicts exactly how the lands will look. The LMA area is/was supposed to be used for staging. The location of Star Wars land seems up in the air right now. Some are saying LMA area then others still say front of the park. Disney also isn't going to put something in the concept art that hasn't been announced yet so it's possible phase three is still on. The only thing most can agree on is that there were cuts within toy story land specifically the coaster.

I visited HS on Friday to say my goodbyes to LMA, Mike/Sulley, Streets of America, etc. While I was leaving LMA, I looked around for any signs of construction and saw this building hiding behind a fence. I could see a couple of trucks were digging around the area it was in. Anyone know what attraction this sad display might have been? Sorry if it's obvious for everyone else, but it's not for me. :)

Backlot tour closed a year and a half ago an sat un-touched until now, so just because something is closing doesn't mean they have immediate plans for the area. If Star Wars land is going in the front of the park as rumored it would make sense to clear out the back and use it as a staging area for SWL and TSL, and then work their way back and build the 3rd phase at the back of the park.

SWL definitely could be going in the LMA area, but people with inside knowledge are still hearing that it's going in the front of the park.

That was the premier theater its held a bunch of different shows but most recently held the Frozen sing a long before it moved.

That was the premier theater that most recently held the Frozen Singalong. I believe it was used for the Hunchback show in the past.

Thanks! That's what I thought! So sad thinking how much I loved the Hunchback show when I was younger and seeing its bones just laying there in front of me.

If TSL is going behind TSMM with the entrance flipped to the back and SWL starts where the concept art shows the rock structures (a possibility but no guarantee) then wouldn't the Muppets area and Mama Melroses cut Star Wars Land off from Star Tours, Jedi Training and Tatooine Traders.

Whether Star Tours is incorporated into Star Wars land seems to be an open question.

Right now it doesn't actually fit the theme properly.
