Did you notice how this guy also reported that the FP+ line for Tower of Terror was backed up all the way to the entry gates? That's a long line.

Do we think this area will be Toy Story Land or Star Wars? Or maybe some of each?

Current speculation is that it's neither, but will act as a staging area for construction on those two projects.

It would then be available for the semi-mythical Phase 3.

The access road for construction will be right behind the canyon. This area is supposed to be slated for phase 3 though.

I've been reading places that Tower of Terror has been extremely busy as of lately. Wonder why all of a sudden. Is something wrong with the ride that it's on reduced capacity or is it because there is nothing else to do at MGM?

Apparently when I saw it was 200 minutes one side of the attraction was closed due to difficulties. I would imagine though that it is extra popular these days due to there not being a lot at DHS.

Ok so it's a mixture of both. Makes sense. It's a shame but it could be a lot worse

Another permit was filed for the fireworks launch site for prep of construction site that expires May 18th.

So we have until early April to see what is going on in the Catastrophe Canyon area, then they shut down LMA, and the spot to view what is going on. Should be obvious if the grandstand for LMA starts to be deconstructed.
It's pretty minor, and still very early, but it's good to see the Demolition, regardless of the intent of the area. As we all know, they wouldn't be bothered with taking it down, unless they intend to use the space for something in the near future.
I still find it interesting that this area is needed for "staging". What are they using for staging for AvatarLand. What did they use for staging for New FantasyLand?
