DHS After Hours and Rise of the Resistance

Last time we went to the DHS After Hours, we were planning on riding both Tower of Terror and Rise of the Resistance multiple times. RotR, however, had most of the pre-show closed. We did not do the shuttle ride and walked through some office space before entering into the side where all the stormtroopers are. My son was so disappointed, he did not want to try again. Is this a regular occurrence during After Hours? I'm trying to decide whether to try again in July or not.....

All my HS AH have had the complete version of Rise. It includes "recruits" pep talk and boarding the vessel outdoors. Unless there are new AH operating shenanigans, I'm guessing that something wasn't working that night, and you were rerouted. Disney wouldn't walk you through an office area, in my opinion, without the situation being unusual.
